Then I moved and couldn't get it. Thank God when I moved back to GA I could get it again. I only missed once I knew what I was missing. Life is MUCH better in the left lane. Besides....it's hard to stay in the mood when it takes 10 minutes to download each porn clip.

BillyVance 34 #7 January 3, 2005 You mean the Geek Squad is coming in one of those black and white new VW bugs? DSL or Broadband is definitely worth it. I got mine installed last week, all by myself with a little help from tech support, and man, it's so much easier to jump around the demented forums on here. mccurley 1 #10 January 3, 2005 Over here in New Zealand I hade the option of using my existing USB port or installing an ethernet card. Tried the USB it sucked, instaled the ethernet (they can both connect to the same DSL modem) it rocks. The ethernet card only cost $15, aabout $8 US. Still on phone lines as we don't have cable here, but I caan still talk on the phone while on the net with just the one phone line. Connecting speed of 256 compared to 42!! Only $10 more then I was paying for dialup. sunshine 2 #11 January 3, 2005 My puter came with ethernet so thats not an issue. Broadband/cable is actually cheaper than DSL. I currently only have a home phone for my dial up, so i'll be cancelling that tomorrow since i don't need it. ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug! Funny....now that I'm down here in the sticks of south Arkansas I can get DSL. Couldn't get it when I lived in N. Little Rock. Peas! linz-- A conservative is just a liberal who's been mugged. Kris 0 #21 January 4, 2005 QuoteDoes anyone have the direct TV or DISH network Broadband? Any comment on that - I recently moved and I have Direcway right now. I got it last month as a temp access until we're able to get DSL here in the summer. Cable doesn't make it out to where I am either. For what it does, it's okay. It's laggy, and affected by the weather, but it's great for normal surfing. My downloads average about 110-130K/sec. However, they have a FAP (Fair Access Policy). If you download more than 169MB in 4 hours, you hit the FAP and empty your access "bucket". Until it refills, you're stuck with dial-up speeds. Let's just say I'm not downloading any MP3's or movies right now. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go kick the huge 75-pound dish on the roof because it's not DSL and it looks like a tumor on my house.Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
