Z-HILLS FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Recommended Posts

I'm happy to report that Chuckie and I finally made it - only a day late! Patrick is correct, we were down to our last beer, then Amish came through and we kept trucking right on. We knew the weather was shit so we were in no hurry.

Weather's beautiful and it's supposed to warm up. Ate pizza tonight with Heather, Ron, Macca (whose wounds have healed nicely from Rantoul), Lucy, Heidi, Vic, Laurel, Andy and John and I'm sure I've forgotten a few. Met Nicole from B-Ham - total hottie. Drank with Colon and Ankie, Saw Sally and Tony jumping along with TK and god knows who else.

Z-Hills is certainly NOT sucking!

I am turning in for the night (SMART) so I can jump my little butt off the next few days!

PEACE!

Katie

Humm MikeB. works for a staffing/placement company based out of Tampa and I wonder if they have a specific department that handles health care and life sciences???? Maybe I'll be real nice to him at Z-hills this week and not get mad at him when he get's Galen to act like a drunken monkey....

Nig-noggery has been in full effect for several days now; we are not sucking in Z-hills. There is a fantastic group of people here and we have been jumping as much as the backed-up loads will permit. The birdies are abundant here and we (me, Gimpy, Darren Kellet, Cancer Chris) have taken up plenty of newbies. Macca is officially birdified and is addicted to the nylon crack like you read about. Noice.

Tomorrow morning will be the start of "pirate day" here at Z-hills and we are going to throw down some big "skull and crossbones" RW jumps. We are also going to try and round up enough dz.com monkeys to bust that paltry 21 way record that they just threw together in Eloy. Personally, I am gonna bust some birdies, shoot some video, do exit last and dock first on some stylie bigways, and swoop the pond ever chance I get.

Yesterday, while landing from the 30-something way we did, I had a fantastic pic of me taken swooping the pond. Since I had my bootie suit on I threw a lazy boy and it was incredibly sweet. Don't be surprised if you see that pic in parachutist soon.

Early day tomorrow, so I am gonna shut up.

PEACE!

Chuckie

Maybe it's just too early this morning, and I haven't had enough coffee, but I've got to wonder why in the world you have this link in a reply line to me.

SkyQuest? Rats, I missed my opportunity to met you[:/]

Nope, I wasn't there this year. I just had too many other things going on to make it.

I'm sure your article is better then what they put in Skydive the Mag. I was very disappointed in some of the captions below the pictures they had from the event.

Truffer and I talked about that some. I asked him if he was writting a story up for his mag. He said not really since most boogie pices are only interesting to a few folks....I told him while that may be true to experienced jumpers (such as yourself a big way guru) or the people who attended the event. I told him that I can remember when I was new and I read every damn article in the magazines. And since most jumpers are new he should write one.

However since his is a subscription mag, unlike the USPA mag, he has a good grasp on his target audience.

The USPA asked me to write an artical about the Zhills Turkey boogie...However they asked me to do it after the event and its hard to write about a subject afterwards when no one really took notes.

I know that all the folks (like me) that sat at home wishing we went to the boogie would LOVE to see an article. Because of family, a lot of us only get to go to 1-2 boogies a year.
