AggieDave 6 #3 December 24, 2004 This is the kind of movie I call "good clean American fun." Its a "clean" movie with a great story, ok acting and it makes you smile throughout the entire movie. You just don't see movies like this anymore.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

You think thats something...Ive seen "Urban Cowboy" on cable several times now. OK, so its a dumb movie, but I get a little homesick sometime. Every time I seen it was just after getting off of work and getting home at 3:00 in the morning. Some of those Mickey Gilley songs made me kind of homesick for a second, even though I think Houston sucks. Wonder what ever happened to that guy? He was a pretty good singer, but arrogant from what I used to hear.

nanook 1 #15 December 24, 2004 Jackie Gleason definitely contributed to that movie: "there's no way. . .no way, you came from my seed. BillyVance 34 #16 December 31, 2004 QuoteJackie Gleason definitely contributed to that movie: "there's no way. . .no way, you came from my seed. When we get home, I'm gonna punch your mamma in the mouth." The actual words, I believe, were - "there's no way, no way, that you could come from my loins!" And "I'm going home to kick your momma in the butt!" Another great line - "when I get you back home, you sumbitch, I'm going to find the tallest tree in the land, and I'm going to HANG you from it!" "Scratch that... look over your left shoulder." "whoof!" "We're going to Boston for some chowder, bye bye!" "NO HARD FEELINGS JUNIOR!" BillyVance 34 #17 December 31, 2004 I loved watching the Dukes of Hazzard when I was a kid. Great fun! Bo, Luke, Daisy, Hogg, Sheriff Coltrane, etc... what a cast... shame we haven't had anything remotely resembling that show, unless you count the big city versions of cops and robbers shows...
