Did Elsinore have insurance on their stuff?

yes, but they were underinsured. (Note: this did not cover staff gear, only student/tandem, DZ owned, gear.)

Edit to add: Don't forget about Lake Wales with their hangar too. I don't think I ever saw a straight answer as to whether they (the DZ) was insured or underinsured.

Sorry, doesn't work that way. I will say it again. If you can afford to skydive, you can afford insurance.

I don't have a job and don't pay to jump...What do I do then?

You won't be able to afford to replace you gear if it's not insured. You can affford insurance if you think about it. It could be a monthly premium:oSooooo or still got any xmas presents you can return for cash[:/]

Got a birthday coming up? Going to party new years eve?

R.I.P.

Do you drink beer, eat at restaurants or fast food, go to the movies, have cable, buy magazines, buy name brand items instead of generic...

If you decide other things are more important, that's your choice. But be aware that you made the choice to indulge in other things and be prepared to live with the ramifications.
