3rd Annual Dropzone.com Skydive Arizona Holiday Boogie

I have intalled however, a webcam in the south landing area....just so I can watch Deuce get "Burked"Wink Bwahhhhhh

I don't know how I could improve on last year's well-deserved Burking without somehow being transported for further observation.

On this note, for the curious, this is a very safe, extremely well organized boogie. The hardcore swoopers have their own landing area where they can indulge the 360-180-270 whatever kind of landing things they tend to do, out of the pattern from the rest of us. Two very large, flat lawn landing areas. Great food, great bar, wonderful vibe.

If you are in Europe or are otherwise Intercontinental, and you are wondering if it is worth it. It is. More Otters and SkyVans than anywhere.

I hope to see a bunch of my HercBoogie friends there.

Can someone define "burked" please

We can....but we won't:P LOL

Seriously, Bryan Burke is one of the S&TA's here. If you get a bit of a talking to in relation to a safety issue...that would be classified as getting "burked";)
Our Deuceypoo did a downwinder...and lo and behold Burke was there to see is...um as was the pixie;)
Better Burked than Pixied?? That is the question...bwahhhhhh

Somehow I just don't see any humor in this at all. If you do then make sure to bring your GPS cause I don't know my way around AZ any better than I did CA.:P

Sorry (!) to say I didn't actually see Deuce in the foam "in the flesh" (so to speak!). I went elsewhere after hearing that kids had been chucking up in the foam!!!!! :S:S:S

Please, please, please... NO FOAM!

Oh, stop, all of you!

The foam party in Sweden was great fun.

Vicki is a sweetheart, and I hope you bring that whole bunch that was with you to AZ.

And speedo days is going to rock! As Remi proves, if you can't laugh at yourself, others will be happy to point and do it for you!

Go ahead and look at the picture, Remi. You were at home sitting in the dark in front of your computer in your Garanimal jammies and I was dancing with half naked European women.

"Doing" is usually more embarrassing that "watching". It is, however, orders of magnitude more fun.

The hall of shame is for the wussies taking pictures when there is fun to be had.

:P

no better Pixied than Burked... the scolding my be the same, but the visuals make it hurt less

Having experienced both, being an internationally skilled skydiver at attracting the attention of safety officers and organizers like a 24 carat lightening rod, I would say I feared the Pixification the most.

B-squared is the only one I thought was gonna actually smack me. B|

When you tell the Pixie you are gonna be somewhere on the job at a specific time, I advise you to be there. (5 minutes early)

You mean to say that all people don't set their watches fast to make sure they are on time? Tell me it isn't so! I am mortified!:)

you say that like its a bad thing

Hummmm well I suppose that would depend on who is on the receiving end;)
Line forms to the right:o

Getting BURKE'd is almost a badge of honor. Almost! As in a 'red badge of courage'.

You have been observed in an unsafe situation. A discussion will ensue, regards your participation and your awareness of the situation.

Situational awareness is preached and your response to constructive criticism is measured.

Fly safe, have fun!

Hmmmm....can this happen in the swoop area as well? I got RATHER berated over that swoop on my WFFC vid by Lisa and Keith. I had to explain how I arrived at my entry point without enough altitude. Yes....I knew WELL before I yanked a riser that I was too low. I also knew I would have to CARVE it out. I did........stopped PERFECTLY in front of the green steel stakes of death. It was all good. Lisa says "So you MEANT to do that?" Well....sorta.....:D:D:D
