jriggert 0 #1 December 28, 2004 My Christmas gift to my parents is a weekend getaway to Arizona this winter. Anyone know of some good resorts to send them to in the $100 - $200 a night range? They don't golf, and no they don't skydive either... they just like the warm weather. Thanks for the help! J
heidihagen 0 #2 December 28, 2004 what area? this may sound cheezy.. (actually, it definetly will---but it's a legit q!).. do they like to be pampered? what part of az? I noticed ytou mentioned warm.. like sedona or something? I don't know your 'rents but I'm always in there. Last trip it waas cheaper to buy airfare/hotel combo... this was while the prez was there making his speech... so I think I ended up paying 200 for that ticket---but not bad for a hotel I didn't use! In short, I think you can get a few days @ the biltmore for around 200--- really nice w/ a lot of history. ummm GOODLUCK!i didn't lose my mind, i sold it on ebay. .:need a container to fit 5'4", 110 lb. cypres ready & able to fit a 170 main (or slightly smaller):.[/ce
jriggert 0 #3 December 28, 2004 LOL... well Heidi you got me excited there for a second. The Biltmore looked awesome until I checked out the price on hotels.com... $426 a night for January and February! They better buy me a new rig for my birthday if I'm going to send them there! They actually don't need a flight - they live in Durango and will drive. The warmer the better, so southern AZ is probably where they would like to go. Pampering is good, but they also like to have a city nearby with other stuff to do.
freeflir29 0 #4 December 28, 2004 There are several places in Phoenix. Here's a pretty good list to get you started. phoenix.about.com/cs/resorts/a/phxresorts.htm

bodypilot1 0 #7 December 28, 2004 Try the Toltec in Eloy, they'll love you for it! And it will make them thankful for what they have. What better gift could that be? Edwww.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

ltdiver 3 #10 December 29, 2004 QuoteThe Toltec is a TRUE experince... Yes, you got -that- right. A team stayed at it's sister motel during the SDC Nationals. The flies were SO thick there that they had to go out and buy those sticky fly-strips to just survive the few days they were there! (yeah, I know that the Toltec might not have -this- share of flies, but they have more of another species of animal creeping in under the doors... ). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
