wildblue 7 #1 December 23, 2004 Partly because the howling wind woke me up, and partly because I got a message saying the office is closed tomorrow. So this is going to end up a 5 day weekend for me :) Here's why... anyone have any snow shoes? You can't really tell, but that drift next to the car comes up past my knees (and I'm 6') There's a drift about that size in front of the car too. And we're supposed to get more before morning...it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
Jskydiver22 0 #2 December 23, 2004 Gotta love the midwest! I'm in Indiana and we have about 15 inches on the ground right now, looking for another foot to come tonight. --I don't even know enough to know that I dont know--
wildblue 7 #3 December 23, 2004 Midwest sucks. We have about 13 in on the ground right now and are supposed to get more through the night. I can get a round trip ticket to FL for like $150... I'll probably spend that in heating, salt, and paying the neighbor kids to shovel my walk this week. Hmmm....it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality

WFFC 1 #5 December 23, 2004 QuoteMidwest sucks... YEPPERS! The snow missed here so it's just friggin cold. If it's gonna be cold, I want snow. None of this depressing grey sky crap. ----- ~~~Michael

Hey - I'm cool with the miserably cold midwest & the Grey Sky - as long as the Grey in the Grey sky doesn't start until at LEAST 10,000'. =========Shaun ==========

Agreed! I want the snow if it is going to be cold. I've been up all night trying to get this damn window installation wrap on all of my windows. My hairdryer doesn't seem strong enough to shrink wrap them...I think it has to due with how cold the draft is._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... sunshine 2 #10 December 23, 2004 QuoteWe finally got a little bit of snow, so I can finally have some snowball fights!!! I don't have any snow here. I love the midwest though. All the people that bitch how much they hate it, need to just move already. As for Seth, he just needs to go crawl in a hole somewhere. ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug! riggerrob 643 #13 December 23, 2004 Why do you think I moved from Ontario to Vancouver? Shovelling snow is only "amusing exercise" the first week of winter. After that, snowing is just macho exercise.

Shu-ut U-u-up! you're going to make it worse by talking about it. Yep my Christmas travel-to-Ohio plans are on hold now, until the weather (roads) gets better. "Your mother's full of stupidjuice!" Same here.....I was going to drive to Ann Arbor yesterday, but now sitting here cooling my heels until tomorrow. I can't seem to find a route to Michigan without driving through that huge sucking void known as Ohio. Don"When in doubt I whip it out, I got me a rock-and-roll band. It's a free-for-all." PhreeZone 20 #16 December 25, 2004 Y'all suck. I was out snowboarding all that night. 14 inches of fresh powder and I was NOT about to turn it down. First time I've ever worried about the nose of my board sinking in while in Ohio. Getting stuck on the roads for 3 hours was as small price to pay for those 5 hours of being almost alone on the hills Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

PhreeZone 20 #18 December 25, 2004 This weather freakin rocks... I've got the sled all primed up and ready to go carve some tracks tommorrow as long as she don't sink in in the woods. With this much snow and carbine runners I doubt I even slow down to cross the road. Calling in Sick Monday for a snowboard day probally and might still have that cough on Tuesday too Its not jumping weather, but I'm having a blast in it. Sure, the -15 degrees tonight is cold, but its not letting my snowboard snow melt Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
