That long-sleeve shirt that I wore today was a bit much. If I stood in the sun too long, I had to find some shade. I didn't check, but I'll bet it was low 70s. It was a bit breezy for me in the morning, so I waited until the afternoon. I think it was a good call. There was a nice bonfire tonight. In 1997 I had gotten some airline tickets really cheap to go to Hawaii. It was shortly there after that I found out about my cancer. I knew I had to start my treatments, but I so wanted to go to Hawaii since I had never been before. After my surgery I told my doctor that I was still planning on going to Hawaii, that I was strong enough to handle anything, and I was not going to miss this trip. After my first round of chemo, I was at the doctor's office throwing up in the trash can. My doctor walked in, and I looked up and said, "I'm not going to Hawaii" He agreed. I still haven't been to Hawaii.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view.
