AggieDave 6 #1 December 22, 2004 The movie. Its on TV right now...man I had forgotten how funny this movie is. This is also classic Dolly Parten, I think between her 5th and 6th plastic surgery. What's a "classic" movie from the past 30-10 years that you have forgotten about but love to watch?--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Jumpervint 0 #6 December 22, 2004 Ahem... I worked on that film. Did optical effects for the 'party' sequence, and the Dolly Parton section (roping Hart and the like) was specifically my section. That was back before video took over and way before CGI. The co. I worked for got credit, but not all of the technicians and specialists, unlike now when everyone gets their name in the credits. Because of that movie, i got to make a few jumps in Connecticut. And live in Manhattan for two months at the company's expense. Cool experience that i would never trade away for anything. AggieDave 6 #7 December 22, 2004 That's cool! See, that's what I love about this site...the people. You never know who you'll meet, where they're from, what they've done, etc. What other movies have you worked on?--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." happythoughts 0 #9 December 22, 2004 "The Gods Must Be Crazy" This came up this weekend while talking to a South African guy. He said that his Land Rover worked just as well as the one in the movie. Apparently, there are a variety of methods of starting one without a starter.
