The skydive was as the transition from the island to Hollywwod (he jumped from an otter, with the voting box in the main tray of the container! )

Me thinks it was both. Looked like the close ups in freefall were him maybe in a very early AFF level. But i think they edited some in of a stunt double too. Was one helluva transition to the live part of the show.

Well, its cool they had skyjumping in there, but the one where he helicopters to the studio was better done IMO

Yeah. When i first saw the plane i thought it looked like an otter, but the door confused me. Then suddenly it has a jump door. It's all good to me though. I liked it.

would have been funnier to watch him pull and the voting box fly out... that was just stupid... even a wuffo should have seen that his chute came out from where he 'stowed' to box.... lame lame lame....

I agree ... it was cool since most of the wuffos watching wouldn't know the difference anyway. I was surprised though when my wuffo wife even noticed that there was something not quite right when he stuffed the voting box into his main compartment

You mean that's not the luggage compartment? Who knew, I'd better go get some pointers from a rigger. Where do you I get one of these 'mains' you're "supposed" to put in it?

It was him. I didn't see the show, so dont' know if they cut in some stunt double in parts, but he did jump. I don't know the details, but he did it in Elsinore and it was modified AFF in a couple of days.

I could tell it was Lake Elsinore, you could see the long skinny part of the lake near the landing area as well was the I-15 freeway stringing along the hillside.

Alright now, I saw something different, it looked to me like he stuffed the voting jar? in the reserve tray. I mean if fear is not a factor for him, why would he need a reserve? (Sorry - I couldn't resist. )

i just downloaded the whole series so i could watch it here in the uk. I will cut this part out and upload it to skydiving movies when there is space, or if there is somewhere else i can upload, then you can see it.
He was pretty stable and relaxed if that was a fast track AFF. his turn were pretty sweet and well relaxed.....good on him i say, he will have the bug now.

Yes! The skydive sequence was filmed at Skydive Elsinore. Jeff Probst showed up here on a Monday (for the first jump course AFF Level 1) with the mission to be "freefall filmable" by Friday. Jeff did an outstanding job throughout his training making his instructors' jobs a piece of cake as well as a pleasant experience for the entire staff at Skydive Elsinore. All the skydiving footage you saw of Jeff was actually Jeff! Yes he does his own stunts!

Not a bad job Jeff has huh? Gets to travel to all these exotic places, bet you he doesnt stay in the same accommodations the participants have to, probably get better food too, and he has to learn to skydive.
