chaoskitty 0 #4 December 2, 2004 I thought kebabs were grilled on a skewer.. meat, veg, veg, meat, veg, veg.. etc. Those are good for you if the meat is low fat.

Different. Anyone in LA should go to Raffi's in Glendale and have their gound beef kebabs. Fantastic. Along with a decent helping of basmati rice, you, too, can say, "Up yours!" to atkins.. bigway 4 #8 December 2, 2004 you did not realise these are good for you??? Just a shame the kitchens where they make them are so filthy, but do you really care when you are drunk.?? Beer has food value, why eat? .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
Frenchy68 0 #9 December 2, 2004 Quotei've also wondered what diffres in a gyro and a kabab.. they seem very smilar.... Shhhhh... You'd say that in Greece or Turkey, you'd get lynched! The same applies to coffee (except in this case, avoid Armenia as well...). They are very sensitive about these things... FlyingJ 0 #10 December 2, 2004 Mmm...kebabs. For anyone in NYC, I have two favorites. The guy with the cart outside Old Navy at 6th and 19th or so and not far behind is the greek couple w/ a cart at 40th and Ditmars in Astoria. A former roommate used to tell me that I had a "meat cart" fetish. That nice greek lady in Astoria even fed me a few times when I didn't have cash on me, and would never let me pay after the fact.Killing threads since 2004. Amanduh 0 #14 December 2, 2004 LOL..That is so funny to read. "Go to the cart on ....blahbalbhalbh" yeah you know. When I was in New York the only thing I wanted to do...and HAD to do was get a gyro off of one of the street vendors so I could say I had eaten from one LOL..I even made the comment a few times "I HAVE GOT TO GET A DIRTY WATER DOG FROM THE STREET VENDORS!" HAHAHAHAA Those things are definately not very sanitary looking LOL.
