Motivation

Of course on the flipside, maybe you need to just give in and enjoy a slack binge, and then go back motivated. I used to be realy bad about half slacking and beating myself up the whole time. SO I did not get the enjoyment from achievement or laziness.

Sometimes I wish I was born in a tribal situation, where there was no advancement, no pressure, you simply did what you needed to do, grew up, got wise and died. No worries, you get to hang out at a fire your entire life, see beautiful things, and you wouldn't know any better.

But unfortunately I was born into this global race, where you see everyone and everyone sees you. You slack, they know it, you dont, they know it. You gotta perform or be considered a lazy ass. I think i'm moving to mexico.

Something's up with me lately and I just can't seem to motivate myself to do all the things I normally do. I've been slacking at the gym, with work, even slacking with skydiving. I need some good motivational tricks. HELP!

I think you just need a good old fashioned spanking.

Start with Conpanions in courage, it's filled with around 15 stories about ordinary people that will boost you up for sure.

Sorry,15 stories just isn't tall enough.:P

You need a two-way skydive with me . :P

Wanna do some freefly, or ride the suit again?B|

Seriously? Exercise in bright sunlight is the best thing for the blues. When the fog burns off, make sure you just get outside for a 20 minute walk.

Yes! A freefly with you AND ride the suit, gun in hand!

I managed to get up at 6:30 this morning and go to the gym after a nice long climb last night so I think I'm getting more motivated.

JP you're on! Both of ya.

:D

I know what you mean. I'm having problems with the work motivation thing. However, I have managed to go to the gym and jump most days this week. :)

Motivation is overrated. Make a martini the size of your head, put the phone and remote within reach and enjoy sinking into the couch. It's joy unto itself. The world will come along and make you busy all too soon.

Is that the excerise regimen that got you the deluxe body that you currently inhabit ? I may be inclined to wait on that advice if so.

I follow the same exercise regimen as my cat, inlcuding at least 8 hours per day on the couch.

I have been planning on opening a Curves-gym franchise. Instead of treadmills, they push my lawnmower around my back yard. Instead of a tanning booth, they wear a t-back while pushing the mower. The monthly rate is attractive. Think of the money they'll save.

As part of my paid personal-trainer time, I will sit in a lawn chair and observe that the lawn is being done right. (This also contributes to my own aerobic workout - increased heartrate and breathing).
