tigra 0 #52 November 15, 2004 Skokie is easy, BUT you need to go to Dempster street- west of McCormick. There's a mideastern place with the best falafal (near the Dunkin Donuts and Burger King), and a couple of great hamburger/ hot dog joints- Herms comes to mind. Plus Hubs, THE place for gyros, and a Boston Market! Yeah, that's all fast food, but then for dinner you could go to Evanston. Barcelona has the best tapas, and of course, for Chinese food, the PineYard is one of the best in the area. I'm kind of jealous! (except for the commute!) I think you mean "Pita Inn" as the middle-eastern place. It was featured on WTTW's 'Check Please' last week. It's on my list to try if I ever make it up there. Address is 3910 Dempster. Quick review here. Definately good eats up in Skokie... Ya just gotta look for it. _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.
tigra 0 #63 November 15, 2004 Yup, Pita Inn. Its been a while. That's a good carry out or sit down place. Very reasonable prices if I remember correctly. Excellent falafal.

goochflies 0 #75 November 19, 2004 QuoteSan Diego. Good weather, beach, great resturants (even a hooters) and four DZ's within an hours drive. Four? Within an hour? San Diego, California? I count three and the only way you could get to them in an hour is if you own an airplane or live in the far north end of san diego county which would put you an hour north of downtown san diego at best and not near anything very cool. Unless you count the shrub and avacado farm in Fallbrook, (very cool)."it gets you nowhere if the other person's tail is only just in sight for the second half of the conversation."
