pilotdave 0 #26 December 11, 2003 We found it would be considerably cheaper to rent a van from a car rental place than our university if we were paying out of pocket. Luckily we never had to pay out of pocket, because it was over $1000 per van (for 2 vans) last year to drive round trip from Maryland to Florida. Maryland funds us really nicely. Last year was perfect for camping out (without needing arctic camping equipment). 2 years ago it was down to the 20s at night and I gave up on camping out after one night. I'd plan to camp. In fact I do plan to camp. There's only one (indoor) shower though, so there's usually a short line unless you like to get up real early. Dave The year it was down to like the 20's was the year I went and all I brought for my girlfriend and I was a comforter! One trip to walmart later we had one huge insulated sleeping bag but we still froze the first night. Yea you really didn't want to see the Russian guy jumping naked over the fire, I promise. Worst comes to worst they let us sleep in the heated manifest trailer that year. I'd just plan on camping out.
