Ducky 0 #1 November 16, 2004 So I am trying to plan my honeymoon (getting hitched May 7th) and the options are a bit overwhelming. So I been eyeballing Tahiti or The South Pacific in general, just curious if it is all it's cracked up to be????? Also any pointers on where to stay, what to see would be cool too. kwakSometimes your the bug, sometimes your the windshield. Sometimes your the hammer sometimes your the nail. Frenchy68 0 #2 November 16, 2004 Tahiti is simply stunning. Bora Bora is gorgeous, but waaaayyyyyyy overpriced! Upwards of $500/night for an over the water bungalow. However, you can go to other lagoons, which are as stunning as Bora Bora, and pay a fraction of the price. That's where the locals go. People are very nice. Frenchy68 0 #4 November 16, 2004 Moorea is quite beautiful. However, if you go to the Tuamotu archipelago (sp?), there are some lagoons with great facilities and very little tourists... skydivingchad 0 #5 November 16, 2004 Tahiti is great. I got to spend 5 days there about 10 yrs ago, beautiful black sand beaches lots of little villages to explore and shop in, if your into that kind of thing. I was in a tour group so I don't know the the cost of it but we stayed at the Hyatt Regency just above the beach. Sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug.
