Have you ever slept with your rig?

I was talking to a fellow skydiver friend of mine today, and as funny as it is we were both talking about when we first bought our rigs. We were so proud and so protective of them that we actually slept with our rigs. I mean we put them under the covers with us and slept with them. It's kind of a confort thing. I mean some people have a teddy bear, but I have my rig. Only my rig saves my life time and again. Like to see a teddy bear that can do that.

I slept with my rig on a cold night when toooo "hammered" to drive and wanted to boogie next day-
A fine night it was
Just got into a cell and rolled up in my canopy- on a carpet in the loft- used my rig as pillow- talk about a sweet, warm, snuggly night
-just had to pack in the a.m.

When I'm sleeping on business trips, etc., I usually
cuddle-up to my suitcase since my wife is not there
to cuddle. The suitcase doesn't feel as good, of course,
but if you wrap a blanket around it it helps.

The danger in sleeping with a parachute rig is that
you may go for your reserve in a scary nightmare.
