Am I Bad?

Recommended Posts

I don't think so. I had the day off so spent the whole day trying to get organized...mostly picking up after my husband and kids. We were supposed to go to a "new members social" at the club (being long time members we're supposed to be there to welcome new members) and I was going to go from the gym, but it rained so I didn't go to the gym (near the country club) but I don't like to drive in the rain cuz my corvette has wide tires and tends to hydroplane in rain. So told my husband to go without me and I'd see him at home later. He sounded a little disappointed but he will be fine cuz the're all his friends. I don't think I was wrong saying I didn't wanna go cuz of the rain. Should I have come up with a better excuse? I love my husband and our country club friends, but to be honest I find evenings at the club extremely boring and will use any excuse to get out of them. But I think the rain excuse is pretty believable.

Ahh the problems of the affluent lifestyle! Corvettes, country clubs, etc. ;) Who cares if you're bad. You'll go to the club again sometime and 'vettes like dry weather. Just promise to take it down the Ortega Highway at a high rate of speed on the next sunny morning. B|
So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh
Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright
'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life
Make light!

OMG I tend to post without thinking. You've got it all wrong. I am not affluent at all. My Vette is 9 years old (but I still love it) and our club is not an affluent country club, more for the average person. I didn't mean to imply that we are affluent because we aren't. But I still don't like suffering through evenings at the club listening to everyone talk about golf...boring!

Hi Rosa,
He was fine with me not going, maybe a little disappointed but he knows I don't lke to drive in the rain. And it's not like I don't see all his buddies from the club on a regular basis. He's just way more involved in the club than I am and he knows I tried to get involved, played golf for years even though I hated it. Now he's fine with me just attending club events occassionally. I e-mailed Melanie about the event at Elsinore in a couple weeks so I'll look forward to seeing you then.
Ev

Now, now...when you throw in that you live in Southern California and you skydive as a hobby, well, we can't very well think of you as destitute now can we? :P There nothing wrong with affluency. Affluent essentially means "attract" or "to be attracted to" in terms of lifestyle, or surroundings.

So, look at my smileys :)B|B|

I never understood how people could talk "golf". Doing it and watching it is bad enough , but talking about it ?

Yea i was watching some paint dry the other day and....

I think it's like skydiving. When we get together at the end of the day we talk about our jumps, golfers talk about their golf game. But if you are a skydiver who doesn't play golf it is very boring....but I think it is probably less boring for a golfer to listen to a skydiver talk about their day, well IMO, but my husband and his buddies probably think their birdies and boogies are just as exciting as my 12 point 4 way or funnelled 12 way. It's all relative .

What's that saying? something about "being in love means you don't have to be sorry"

Sometimes you deserve to take some time for yourself. Is that so bad?

Moderation, consideration, trust.

If you want me say your bad. OK Your Bad:D

That was easy:|

R.I.P.
