pinkfairy 0 #26 September 24, 2009 I was very happy with my PD Silhouette. Nice openings, flat glide, and lots and lots of flare. Has the added bonus og being easy to pack. My Sabre never had good openings. It always felt like I was sitting down on a hard chair. But the spectra line set with 400 jumps on it might have been out of trim. You might find a nicer one. Relax, you can die if you mess up, but it will probably not be by bullet. I'm a BIG, TOUGH BIGWAY FORMATION SKYDIVER! What are you?
Heatmiser 0 #27 September 24, 2009 For what it's worth, I've had two friends injured on HiperUSA Nitro's in the last couple of months. From what I'm told they are great canopies, but not for a beginner. They are elliptical, and will dive steep, and turn when you ask them to, even if you didn't mean too. One of my friends was at about 50 jumps, 6th jump on canopy, and flared asymetrically. Torn ACL. My other friend is at about 300 jumps, went to a Nitro 135 from a slightly tapered 150 (african design), Put 3 jumps on it, then jumped it for his first night jump. Broken heel. Neither was probably the proper progression. What you say is reflective of your knowledge...HOW ya say it is reflective of your experience. Airtwardo Someone's going to be spanked! Hopefully, it will be me. Skymama
