blueskyserenity 0 #51 October 27, 2004 QuoteAnyone else ever have your day made by a felow dz.commer? I can't remember when I haven't talked to some of you daily. If you are part of my daily routine I want to thank you because you keep me going. I had my day made yesterday by UnclePapa Whit w/ some very kind words and advice. Who'd of thunk it?? Whitley w/ good advice! Really though, I have soooo many friends that I keep in touch w/ on dz.com daily. It honestly keeps me going through the weeks until I can see all my peeps on the weekend. Lisa, you've inspired me in so many ways I don't know where to begin. I saw you posting before the Dublin Boogie last year and was tickled pink such a cool chick lived so close. When I met you I was thrilled!! My one year anniversary in the sport is coming up this weekend and knowing you has been a god-send in more ways than you will ever know. I can be a successful, skydiving, single 'hot mama' like you. Love you sweetie!!!I like coconuts. You can break them open and they smell like ladies lying in the sun! Yeah - I still totally get the giggles when I think about that plane ride. Classic and dear memories, for certain. And thanks for all the photos on this thread - how cool to see people we love doing what they love. Mary packing and looking over the Wings are just amazing... Love ya! FlyingJ 0 #54 October 27, 2004 That was pretty funny by the fire. BTW, I melted part of my shoe that morning getting so close to the fire. That happened to me with 3 different people during the mountain boogie. What a blast!Killing threads since 2004.

towerrat 0 #66 October 28, 2004 hmmmm...... Rantoul, 2003. I popped my head into the DZ.com tent to introduce myself. One of my " fellow " .commers" told me, and I quote..... " hey dude, the party is out there. He basically insinuated that I wasn't welcome, so that is what I carry with me. I had a great time with Lisa that year, and made a lot of new friends, including the flock, but I was very turned off by the unwelcoming nature of this .commer. I will grant that it was late, but not that late as there were plenty of people still up and partying, me included. I like to think that it was a drunken mistake, but it was just so damn rude. I wanted to smack him.Play stupid games, win stupid prizes!
skymama 37 #67 October 28, 2004 QuoteHe basically insinuated that I wasn't welcome, so that is what I carry with me. From my experience of meeting dz.commers from all over the country, comments like that are the exception, not the norm. It's certainly doesn't reflect the attitude that Sangiro has about the community. Please stop by the tent again the next time you see it at a boogie and introduce yourself again. I'm sure your experience will be different. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
towerrat 0 #68 October 28, 2004 I didn't mean to imply that all .commers are like that. I'm absolutely sure that this is not the norm. I just felt kind of shot down, if ya know what I mean. I also met Sangiro that year, and found him to be one of the most pleasant people I've ever met. There were several .commers who I met outside of the tent who were very happy to represent the community in a positive light (Wingnut, SkyMonkey1, a few others), but I was made to feel unwelcome in the tent, and that sicks.Play stupid games, win stupid prizes! mouth 0 #69 October 28, 2004 I can promise you we aren't all like that. Maybe he was trying to get some action and was thinking with the wrong brain. Make sure to pop in in Eloy and I'll make sure to introduce you to some great people on here. -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit. sunnydee123 0 #75 October 28, 2004 I've said my share of "thank you's" for this site this past month myself, as I went through some of the hardest times of my life, after the hurricanes. I feel blessed to have met so many great people over the last year and a half, many of whom I can now call friends. Life is good, even when you doubt it, because it truly is what YOU make of it!!!
