sleeper_gst 0 #1 September 22, 2009 I am buying a Mirage G4 (size M2) with a 150' Spectre2 in it but I only have 7 jumps and want to get the largest canopy that would safely fit inside of it so that I don't have to wait forever getting used to downsizing.. I am 5'8" and weigh 165. Thanks!! (and yes, the Spectre2 is for trade/sale.. 300 jumps on it- perfect condition)

NWFlyer 2 #3 September 22, 2009 Why are you letting the container drive what size canopy you're going to buy? Why don't you decide what size main (and reserve) you want, then find a container that will fit those canopies? According to the size chart, that container will take (at largest) a 150 reserve (since 160 Optimums aren't available yet). If a 150 main is too small for you (and you seem to realize that since you're planning to sell the Spectre) so is a 150 reserve."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. O'Rourke
FestivalFox 0 #4 October 19, 2009 The original post is deleted??? I own a Mirage G4 M2 I have a pdr 143 and I have had a pilot and stiletto 150. It says on the sizing chart that a 150 is optimal but i think it is quiet loose when closing. I bet a 170 would go into mine no problem.
SkyjunkySean 0 #5 October 20, 2009 I had a Samurai 150 (airlocked) in a M2, and it was tight but fine. Prior to that, the container held a NEW sabre 170, but it was a bitch getting it in. I do jump in a very dry climate, which increases pack volume. so there is my two cents worth.
