The weather was perfect today and the swoop was on. Jeanne is here, picked me up and did the hug. ( A Jeanne (Amazon) hug can only be experienced, not described) Skybiotch showed up in the afternoon, gave me a hug and delivered one from Mouth (the running, jumping kind ) Sebazz and XXXlarge or whatever Andy calls himself showed up. Seb went low for a moment on a 12 way I was on, and the look on his face and he got back up was priceless (I don't GO LOW!) Henri from Wings is here with his lovely wife, and Wings bought a ton of Pizza for everybody, so there should be plenty for breakfast too. Pyramid brewing is supplying the free beer. It is rather wistful to be on the wagon when Pyramid is providing the beer. It's a great time. Tomorrow we'll get the PAC and the Caravan out here, if you're on the fence about it, come on out. Another stellar day. Perfect freaking weather. I got stuck on the wheel and did 7 tandems I think. I did get some fun jumps in, though, wearing the cameras. Don't really care for the PAC 750. Maybe my expectations were too high. The prop blast on the camera step is like being outside the KingAir with the flaps up. Plus it's high, and with that low tail back there, I'm skeerd of smacking it with my top mount. The low ceiling and door are really hard on top mount helmets. Tandems are a real bitch, cause the seats in the one we had are carpeted, and you can't scoot down on them. A great plane for upjumpers, but tough for camera fliers and tandems. I would like to try AFF out of it. BUT, a great time is being had by all, and I got hired to do a Helicopter photo shoot, and pleased the customer. Are we tired!.... but I must say that this was a very nice boogie. everybody had fun and skydived their little hearts out.. the weather was terrific and I took plenty of pictures. Vic & Connie did a great job while also entertaining us with their beautiful voices on Karaoke night....I danced a beautiful dance with skybytch and Bonnie.... Had a spanking party (I gave Pilot Dave a really good spanking) On Saturday night... I drank a little too much on friday, got naughty and was partly nude..So I made an oath not to take my clothes off on Saturday ..... but I was otherwise a good girl I met great new people, and saw many smiling faces. I think the packers worked really hard to keep everyone skydiving The band was great & the booze was tasty. P.S. There were no pictures or video taken of me doing anything stupid or crazy... I didn't get a lot of skydives in as I was quite busy with the swoop accuracy comp. most of Saturday.. It was great, though, and well worth my time and effort. I love helping people learn and the carnage while doing so was impressive to say the least.. Our own genoyamamoto and skydivexxl tied for first and got excellent prizes.. Geno got a coupon for 30% off an entire Aerodyne rig... Icon container, main and smart reserve.. and Andy got 50% off of a brand new Wings container.. They were both very happy. There were 20 competitors in all and everyone got at least a T-shirt and some new knowledge and skill. I got 13 jumps in myself.. 3 tandem vids, a cross country, a hybrid, a couple of tube freefly jumps, a demo into a waterski comp. where I had a tube and we built a belly round.. and a handful of other freefly jumps.. I owe beer for the first time I had to use my hand to take pictures in freefall.. I replaced my tongue switch cuz my old one was sticking.. Found out in the plane, the new one wasn't compatible with my digi Rebel.. I am happy to report that I believe the customer will be satisfied with my work.. I second everything JP said about the Pac 750. I hated it for doing tandem video with my top-mounted Rebel.. and front float is uncomfortable to say the least.. I think the claim of it sitting 18 is for those skydiving pygmies in New Zealand cuz I can't imagine 18 full-size jumpers in there.. Skybytch was Not a bitch at all, in fact she was a very nice person (sorry if I'm messing with your good bitch rep. Lisa) ... Seb. was sweet as always and SEAkev was sweet too, but he had this funny notion that I was trouble, and he repeated it every time he saw me i.e. "here comes trouble" .. ... Of course thank you all for the tower (so I could have something to fall off of and have the cool excitement of a "rush" in my high heels) ... and thank you to those that took the time to get to know me.... because it was nice to get to know you. Wow.. another awesome boogie this year, I got about 25 jumps in all sorts of funstuff going on. Still not enough jumps with some people I was really looking forward to jumping with, but that's just a good excuse now to go see them at other boogies events, or just CAUSE! Karaoke was hilarious on Friday night, our friend Craig unfortunately got banned.. FOR LIFE, from doing karaoke. Saturday night we had a really good band playing and besides that all the usual boogie stuff going on. Thanks everyone that was there for making it happen and making it another boogie to remember! Did a lot of medium-way (4-way) freefly jumps. Finally got to jump with our old jump-pilot Derek, who now work at American Airlines. All in all really cool... See you guys next year!
