Astros or Cards?

You make a good point.. But having been a fan of sports in Houston for along time (20+ years) I know better then to point my finger in the air and say it's over.. It's not over until we actually get the win in St Louis. Plus, there is speculation that Clemens may be saved for a possible game 7. The Cards may not have the series lead at this time. They've got home field though for the next two game.

I BELIEVE BAYBAY!! ONE MORE!!

As Yogi Berra said...It ain't over till it's over. There's no such thing as a sure thing. You have to play the game....and anything can happen.

I can see them saving Roger for a Game 7. Pitching him on fuil rest makes a lot of sense as he is a much better pitcher on 4 days rest and he can likely go deeper into the game. It also has the advantage of having him ready for Game 1 of the Series if the Astros could win Game 6 without him on the mound.

I'm really pissy today about the time of this game. How come the Boston & Yankees game is more important than the Astros & Cards that they force the NLCS to play at 3pm in the afternoon?

I think that is just a fucked up deal. Force a playoff game to happen in the middle of the afternoon just because you want the Yankees on in primetime!!

Oh well, the Astros will still win B| I'm very surprised Garner gave the nod to Pete Munro. This is a move of confidence I believe. I think Garner is saving Clemens for game 1 of the world series, or have him rested if there is a game 7 needed. Oh well Munro is a decent pitcher. He's got my support B|

*cough cough* ...I feel a case of baseball flu coming on this afternoon...*cough cough*

I said this earlier in the thread.

This is a no brainer. Anyone that says the Astros will win is not a baseball fan and has no clue about sports whatsoever.

Cardinals are taking this without a doubt.

Here are some responses to that.

Slappie - "Tuna your a condesending (personal attack) I am a baseball fan. I think you're so full of it, it's actually kind of funny sometimes. Most of the time it's just annoying."

"May want to go back to that Baseball genie you've been talking to an bitch-slap the h0e because they know nothing of baseball"

"Ya I've been waiting tuna's reply myself. Probably hard to type when you're trying to pull your foot out of your mouth all the time."

Ncrowe - "Still waiting for Tuna's reply???????????? ...Hmmmm "

Murrays - "Who's going to get Tuna's heaping plate of crow ready for him?"

Ok, so we all can agree the people I quoted have absolutely no clue about baseball. I kept quiet on purpose. I thought it was hysterical watching you post on your false hopes.

So sorry, Astro fans. Maybe next year, ROFLMAO!

BO SOX AND CARDS!!!!!

hey Tuna...I just finished that plate of crow off I cooked up for you. It smelled so good I had to have it myself. It was delicious. Get you some next time. ;)

If you want some great crow recipes here you go.

Good game. Should be a good Series.

Funny how the other "fans" on this thread are suddenly quiet. Interesting.

I said enough on other threads. Astros lost nuff said. Ya I'm a fan of baseball and the Astros. Astros pretty much lost due to the moves Phil Garner made. 2 times we could have won in St Louis if it had not been Phil Garners stupid moves trying to save pitching for another game. Should have thrown everything at the Cards when you had them on the ropes.

Shit happens, you being condesending & arrogant is total crap. Just because we believe in our team and think they could beat the Cards (which they did 3 in a row) is reason to say we don't know anything about baseball is crap too.

tuna go back to whatever it is you do. You're an (personal attack)

You know nothing of the Astros

I know I'll be watching them next year after getting dogged in the playoffs. Great choke job! Way to go!

Maybe I should change my sig line to, "Debunking one poster at a time"

Talk all the shit you like.. only boosts your ego  Doesn't make anyone respect you, if anyone did in the first place.

Has nothing to do with shit-talking. Has everything to do with knowing sports and the ability to break down the match-ups and coming to a logical conclusion.

Takes more than just being a "fan". Takes a brain and knowledge of the game.

I'll leave you to this thread so you can get in the last word. Maybe in another decade or so your Astros will do something worthy of praise. Good luck.
