If ya haven't exercised in awhile, TRY IT!!!

Recommended Posts

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, today I got a nice run in, with some weight lifting, all done in one hour. I've forgotten how good it feels to exercise, feel the endorphins kick in,aaaaaaaaaah. I feel so good!
I haven't been exercising much lately due to an overload of homework...and going to the dz. So, my point is, if you haven't exercised in awhile, try it and see how good it feels to sweat, burn baby burn them calories!!! :)Run, bring rollerblades to the dz, chase after fellow jumpers, get your lazy butt off the couch...see how much your body will love you afterward. ;)

I work out with a three mile walk every morning with my three dogs. Makes me feel better and less dog shit to clean up in the backyard.

It doesn't matter the weather, those dogs want their walk.

BTW, please separate your sig line from the body of your post, I get sucked into reading it every time I read your post. Thanks:)

I blew my knee out last June... anything much more than walking hurts it. I can still ride a bike, but the weather hasn't been the best lately. I need to get a job with decent benifits so I can get the thing looked at. Who has heard of a bad knee hurting in freefall due to the wind resistance against it?? kinda sad i know.

I've been eating right (trying) and hitting the track for about 3 weeks now. I haven't lost any weight cause I'm just replacing fat with muscle. I've dropped about 3% body fat though and I feel great. I was doing 5 miles, 4 nights a week. 2 miles walking and 3 a combonation of walking and jogging to start off. But right now my shins are sooo stressed I can't jog. It hurts like crazy, so I'm giving them a break and doing a 10 mile bike ride every night. The goal is to get down to 190 and 19% body fat by next April or so

good for you man! I love exercising, though I probably don't look it right now, :P, cuz I also enjoy pleasurable food. Yeah, working out is definitely challenging at times, but it's soooooo worth it. I wanna not only BE healthy, but I gotta look good in my jumpsuit too!

I've been overweight as far back as I can remember, and I'm sick of living up to the image we have as Americans. That and aparently the kind of girl I'm looking for isn't interested in the fat guy :D It's hard work, but I just think about the reward I will get when I reach my goal. Longer healthier life, more self confidence and a better chance to find a fun longterm relationship filled with lots massages and passionate sex...mmmm

Great post...incentive I needed. I usually work out for 2 - 3 hours a day, then they cancelled a step class I'd been taking, so was down to just 1 -2 hours a day (need the motivation of a class...but they replaced it with a hip hop class, just couldn't get into it cuz they spend so much time just standing around watching the instructor go over the moves). So have to get back to the time I used to spend at the gym. Haven't been running lately cuz it's been hot, but now that the weather has cooled down think I'll just make up the time with running. Love the endorphine things during running. The first mile is kind of a drag, but after that when the endorphine things kick in I feel like I could run forever. And depending on the music I'm listening to, some songs I'll run slow, while other songs I can really speed it up.

arghhhh, I blew my knee also. Well actually it kind of exploded. B| I do a lot of walking... if it's not raining, 30 city blocks at lunch time. Also ride the bike at the gym. I'm still not able to run though...>:(

good for you Evelyn! Yeah, I tried a hip-hop dance class session once, I was sooooooooo white. I can't dance, I can do ballet, graceful, SLOW movement, I don't have enough attitude for hip-hop.
I cannot run without music, it distracts me from what I'm doing and puts me in a very deep mind set of thinking. I listen to Dylan, Van Morrison, U2, etc, when I run...the music takes me far away.

I've put on nearly 15lbs in the past 2 months. I had a medical problem and it hurt to lift. I got the surgery done and I can't lift yet.

I'm getting PISSED OFF that I can't workout and I'm getting FAT. Nevermind that I can see my muscles fading away.[:/]

I usually don't gain weight, don't exercise and eat like a horse. However, I think that it has caught up with me. I have noticed that I can't fit into my pants. I put on my jumpsuit after almost 5 months of not jumping nor exercising at all, and I look like crap in it. I'm so pissed! >:(

Edited: I'm with Aggiedave...it's the muscle loss that is most annoying after an injury (or surgery in his case)! I need to get up and move something... Hang in there, Dave.

I've a banjaxed left hand that just isn't strong enough to swim or cycle with. And the only reason I accepted my current job with its pain in the arse location is because I could cycle there and back and get nice and fit.

Then I stuffed my hand playing soccer :-(
