dixieskydiver 0 #1 October 17, 2004 So I got to meet Alana, Cielodiosa, Wrongway, Cocheese, Weegegirl and Leroyb at Bridge day this year. You guys rock even if cocheese did feed me Cuervo on top of red bull, beer and malibu. Tequila ::shudder::... I didn't say goodbye because my friend had to be home super early this morning to go to his grandmother's funeral so we left at like 4 AM. I got my first BASE jump on Saturday, I was second to last off the bridge and landed on dry land. Got a nice 4 second delay...considering I almost didn't get to jump it was fantastic and I'll definitely be back there next year. Next YEAR for sure...I'll have my A then, and my dz's packer and I have "shook on it" that we're both jumping next year! SO do tell, HOW WAS IT??? What's a BASE jump off a bridge FEEL LIKE? I was so stoked that I totally forgot to eat or drink anything all day until we got back to the hotel and they were giving out free pizza and beer. Jumping the bridge was alot like my balloon jump, you get that dead air when you first jump and then you hear yourself accelerating as the wind starts roaring by your ears louder and louder. I think a 4 second delay is something like 200 feet. I don't know where the BASE freefall conversion chart is right now. The bridge is 876' tall. weegegirl 2 #4 October 17, 2004 Bridge Day 2004 was cool as hell. We had a great weekend all around. It was fun meeting you and about a dozen other dot-commers. Only got one jump off because the weather was pretty crappy, but it was a great one and I'll post some pictures later. Wrongway made his first base jump and did an awsome job. I think he liked it. And of course the peeps from the dz cocheese, weege and wrongway. I will try to get my pictures posted this evening. I was way to beat to do it last night. Plus I think standing out on the bridge during a violent hail storm may be catching up with me.
