rbrcokflichk 0 #26 October 15, 2004 Wait Wait Wait.....you're not old enough to date someone 12.5 yrs younger....are you??? I'm so confused!!! My rule was always no more than 20 years older, but I broke that one once. Usually I try to keep withing 10-15 years...younger I think the youngest was only 3 or 4 years younger. Didn't really enjoy it at the time since I was also young...now, it could be loads of fun!!! I'd rather have an awkward morning than a boring night!!! I've done 10-12 year age differences in both directions, but not when either of us was a minor (much less still going through puberty!) and not for any kind of long term deal. Even now at 35, I'm guessing the differences that come with a 12 year age gap would be troublesome to any kind of ongoing relationship. It's sad to think that guy was not only a perv, but must have related to you somewhat well in order to maintain a relationship for that long. Girlfalldown 0 #41 October 15, 2004 Quote Yeah well thats what threw me for a loop when I figured it out ? What 26 year old dates a 14 year old, thats just illegal not to mention creepy. I'm guessing this was in the U.S. ? Yeeeeup! We were in Loooove! I think I was actually 15 and for the record I didn't look or act like I was 15. I was buying cigarettes and getting into bars then. I may have lied to him a little in the beginning about my age too. -------------- (Do not, I repeat DO NOT, take my posts seriously.)

girlygirl 0 #43 October 15, 2004 QuoteSo after a nice convo we had in the pub the other night, it got me wondering what the biggest age gap difference you've had with a partner? Older? Younger? Let's hear the stories! Personally, I've gone 13 years older (she's 33 and I'm 20). So come on, let's hear them. Everyone's got their moments, and I think putting that out there either lost me respect from people or possibly gained some. Oh well, you gotta take some for the team for Bonfire entertainment purposes! Well, 33 is an awesome age for me to be!! I feel better & more alive than I ever have before. I have never really dated anyone less than 3-4 yrs. younger than me but up to 14 years older. Wouldn't have a problem w/ a younger guy if he had what I looked for, age doesn't matter to me as long I can connect & have fun with the guy. He has to be real, intelligent & not restrictive. That's hard enough to find in a person w/o bothering to look at age to.
