Yes, After 9 & 1/2 years of being the #1 Midday DJ, then the #1 Morning DJ, then the #1 Afternoon DJ, -and not to brag but according to the reviews of even my competitors the best DJ in the city of Tallahassee- "Your Imaginary Friend Robby Robb" has just been unceremoniously released by his "superiors" from a position which he held before either of them ever moved to Tallahassee, because:
Ready? "It's NOT WORKING OUT.".

Of course, they had the decency to do it 5 minutes before I was supposed to go on the air on a Monday Afternoon. Presumably so I have to rest of the week to help someone else build a #1 radio station from scratch. AND they were even nice enough to let me work a full day on Saturday so I could drive up to the Farm for my weekly injection of sanity (jumping) in the middle of the night! Let that stand as an object lesson to those of you who have ever considered a career in radio. There is no such thing as 2 weeks notice when you have access to $1 million in equipment and the ears of an entire city.

Anyway, I just wanted to let all of you EVERYWHERE know that if your local rock radio station currently sucks, there is a prime cash cow available.

And those of you whom I know personally, should know that I am -at this very moment- endeavoring to DRAIN a 2 liter bottle of my own homebrewed cherry wheat beer with my fortunately-always-at-home buddy mgerra a.k.a. Shrek the Dirty Brit, and that after a full day of such activities I will be heading to that sinking-ship-of-a-station in the morning to inquire about my due rights. I'm told by sources who care that I should be entitled to a considerable severance package among other things.

Thanks for letting me vent, stay the f*** out of the radio business, (And if you do, try not to beat the sh*t out of your boss in the ratings.) and those of you who have expressed appreciation for my posts be advised that since I don't have a computer at home, they might get a little less regular.

I'm going to get drunk.

The DJ's on Seattles #1 rock station KISW suck. Everytime I turn it on, it sounds like some washed up stoner fucks with nothing better to do than hear themselves talk. As long as you dont sound like that on the air, you're a welcomed change! unfortunately, most of the most of the rock listeners are probably stoners themselves and get a kick out of it?

What ASSHATS. The problem is they are obviously intimidated by your overwhelming talent and years of devotion amongst a crowd where 'dedication' and 'professionalism' are simply words in the dictionary! That and all their other DJ's record their shows. WTF???
