weegegirl 2 #1 October 12, 2004 Columbus day is a banker holiday, which means that Wrongway and I got to spend the day getting into as much trouble as possible. We decided to head to Canada and hit the casino. Crossing the border, we only had our driver's licenses on us, so they yelled at us and made us go inside and get checked out. No sweat. We proceeded to the casino where we lost a minimal amount of change. Having had a great time, we head back over towards Detroit.... This is where the fun begins.... So, I pretty much live in my car these days, spending so much time at the dz. So I had no idea what was in my trunk. "Pop your trunk." I think, no sweat... Next thing I know there are THREE security guards digging through my trunk and discussing something. Well, apparently I had an old license plate that was my mom's in my trunk. No idea why it was there, but it had been there since I bought the car from my mom like 3 years ago. After a series of questions including what is your mom and dad's birthday, the bloody bastards accused me of having a stolen vehicle, slapped an orange sticker to my windshield and made us go inside while they searched my car. They didn't fuck with the base rig sittting in my back seat, but they sure glared at all my dz bumper stickers for quite sometime. Eventually they came out and said we were cleared to go. Do I really look like someone who would steal a bloody car??? And then be stupid enough to switch plates and try to go through customs? Twice??

mailin 0 #5 October 12, 2004 OMG the same type of thing happened to my husband this weekend! Him and a friend went to Montreal for the weekend and at the border they got some border guard that had a stick up her ass.... She picked out most of the people in her line to go to customs. Then my husband finds out his 'friend' had a suspended license (he wasn't driving) because of back child support payments - so they got stuck at the border for 4 hours while that got all squared away. That was going into Canada - coming back they had no trouble at all - and thats usually were we've been stopped before.
