Islandcool 0 #1 October 5, 2004 From Omniskore. Exceed was leading. DOH - Team 302, Exceed, is not eligible for a medal and is now a guest team. Apparently one of their guys competed for Israel a couple of years ago.

PhreeZone 20 #7 October 5, 2004 Whoa.... DOH - Team 302, Exceed, is not eligible for a medal and is now a guest team. Apparently one of their guys competed for Israel a couple of years ago. UPDATE - It looks like Exceed has been disqualified and will get zeros for the rest of their jumps. More updates as I get them - this information is almost certainly going to need clarification. We'll see what happensYesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
captainbb7 0 #8 October 5, 2004 Hey Katie! I miss jumping with you and heather (and greg too ). haha What happened to ICE?
Stacy 0 #9 October 5, 2004 APparently ICE had a camera failure and used a meet videographer for video. (according to omniskore). This is a big NO NO, since the videographer is part of teh registered team. That knocked them out of the running. __
Islandcool 0 #10 October 5, 2004 Update on teams Carolina ICE and Exceed. Carolina ICE was disqualified because their camera failed on (or just before) jump run, so they had one of the meet videographers shoot their jump. That's a big no-no, and they got caught. Exceed has been disqualified because they registered as a medal-eligible team, and it turns out that one member competed for Israel at the World Cup several years ago, another no-no. So there you have it. Those pesky rules getting in the way!
flyangel2 2 #11 October 5, 2004 I know them, and there is no way they would have tried to sneak something like that by the judges. I'm sure it was just an oversight. How sad, I know they worked very hard for this year's Nationals.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. Islandcool 0 #14 October 5, 2004 Per Omniskore: ...after a quick peak in the inbox, about a half dozen people questioning why Carolina ICE didn't just ride the plane down and take a quick turn-around. It's a good question, and that's what I'd have done. It sounds like a case of simply not knowing the rules...why someone else in the plane didn't point that out, I don't know... bbarnhouse 0 #18 October 5, 2004 QuoteThis is too funny -- team 316, MARAE, just did a freefly jump for round 10. I guess they wanted to nail down that last-place position! bbarnhouse 0 #20 October 5, 2004 MARAE did not finish in last even though they did a freefly round in 10. Exceed took a 0 in all rounds. I am very sad for Lori, Christy and the rest of the team. Lori...please know that we are proud of you pass it on to your team! Regards B2
flyangel2 2 #21 October 5, 2004 I too am also sad of this turn of events. I know that Alan and Baat along with Lori doing video, worked hard. I for one am still very proud of them.
