flyingferret 0 #5 October 7, 2004 Umm, I am a freeflyer, so this could be a very uneducated question, but... Is that a normal RW activity? I never seen them on their knees. Awesome shot though.-- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
craichead 0 #6 October 7, 2004 QuoteIs that a normal RW activity? I never seen them on their knees. I was wondering the same thing...it looks like they're having a happy little tea party up in the sky! QuoteAwesome shot though. Remster 30 #7 October 7, 2004 QuoteI never seen them on their knees. You have to look closer.... As in fly with us Edit for clarity: us, as in RWers, not that team... I'm no way near that talented lolRemster
flyingferret 0 #8 October 7, 2004 So what, that is like a reclined transition for close quarters? or what? I am just curious, as it would seem to created a backslide, unless carefully balanced, and I have never seen that before.-- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI. PhreeZone 20 #9 October 7, 2004 Knee flying is a good way to blow off steam after training Try it. Its a lot of fun Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
flyingferret 0 #10 October 7, 2004 I am a freeflyer, we don't 'train' we have fun all the time But yeah, I might try it, cannot be too far off a sit, ehh?-- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
AggieDave 6 #11 October 7, 2004 QuoteBut yeah, I might try it, cannot be too far off a sit, ehh? Its not too hard in a FF suit, I've done that to slow down before. But, in a RW suit...damnit.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

flyingferret 0 #13 October 7, 2004 /meh, I am a fun jumper, no desire to ever compete. The sport is a fun escape for me, not an achievement based pursuit. Like a skyhero of mine, Flea, always said, "I have enough stress during the week, I never want any at the dz." So, training is not really my style, I will try this 'after training' thing while goofing off next time.-- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI. lewmonst 0 #14 October 8, 2004 QuoteKnee flying is a good way to blow off steam after training Try it. Its a lot of fun It's a well developed tunnel trick, also known as booty-flying. The advantage of it over sitflying is that when done correctly, it's about the same speed as RW. peace lewhttp://www.exitshot.com

yoink 321 #17 October 8, 2004 how do you get into that position? Is it a transition from flat?
flyingferret 0 #18 October 8, 2004 My guess (as a non-competing at nationals freeflyer) would be that you start belly to earth, and transition backward while bring your legs under you tucked.-- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
