Who Knows That You Should Stay Out Of The Left Lane Unless You Are Passing?

Recommended Posts

You can get a ticket in Texas, but I've never ever seen it done. I've spent many frustrated drives stuck behind someone matching the speed of someone on the right lane.

What's worst is someone in the right lane matching speed with someone in the left lane.

Some states will ticket you for this even if you are doing the speed limit if the flow of traffic exceeds what you are doing. YOU are a traffic problem if you do this!

Duh. But oh how I wish "they" would read this post. You know who you are, you no good passing, left lane hogging, traffic slowing, losers.

Ooops, Did I say all that out loud?-----Kelly Bundy

Ok, I think I need to pump the brakes a little myself, but that really burns me up. Most of Houston's roads have 6 lanes going each way and a lot of times you'll have 6 cars abreast, cause no one wants to follow.

William and I have talked about this at length. I think it comes down to social fears. People think that the folks in the left lane are cooler and the right lane people are geeks because they have a tendency to drive "slower" (actualy they drive at a more stable speed.) SO, they hang out with the popular crowd in the left lane when they belong with the goobers in the right lane. :D:D:D

I'm an independent girl, so I pass in the left lane and drive in the right lane. B|

Trucks are always in the right lane, and I hate not being able to see around them.

Sometimes I wish I had one of those unicycles with the reeeeally high seat.. but with an engine so I didnt have to pedal so fast... just so I can see what the hell is in front of me around the trucks.

Ford F150 with really big tires will do nicely. And if you happen to come upon the slow left lane hoggers, you can just drive over them.

The trucks get in the left lane and do 5 under going through Bryan/College Station. That way they don't have to dick with the on/off traffic. Annoying as hell, though. Especially on a motorcycle, even following well back from them, they're kicking all sorts of rocks and such at me.

I'll agree with you there. On a two lane road if the left lane isn't filled with people trying to go faster than me I'll drive on the left rather than sitting behind a big truck that doesn't allow me to see anything coming up. I am ultra-aware of anyone coming up behind me that might want to pass though.

Ahh...we could all post what we think, but in the end we all know that we are the only sane person, and the only one doing the right thing when we are behind the wheel!

Now hold on, hoss. There's no need to drag the Ford/Chevy feud into this discussion. It will just be embarrassing for you in the end. ;););)
