Shotgun 1 #10 October 1, 2004 Not much. But what's the point of having willpower? Life is short. Unless whatever it is that I'm wanting to do/not do might affect someone else negatively... then I tend to have a lot more willpower.

Tonto 1 #13 October 1, 2004 Loads. It's never been a problem for me. Of course, if someone said "Stop jumping." that would be different, but denying food, another beer, casual sex - that's no problem at all. tIt's the year of the Pig.

VanillaSkyGirl 6 #15 October 1, 2004 It depends on what you are asking about. Not at all with food or exercise routines (NEVER "work out"...NEVER), but with most things in life...YES. I tend to be very analytical, especially with important decisions. I, thankfully, have the will power to do what I feel is the "right thing" or in my best interest. Even with something silly like shopping, I can make several trips and compare quality and how much I like and want something before I buy it. Other times, though, I am completely the opposite and do something fun or different quite spontaneously, like go on a sudden trip/travel somewhere new. Of course, it's just a different side of my personality. On the other hand, my boyfriend definitely lacks willpower. He is quite impulsive.

VanillaSkyGirl 6 #22 October 1, 2004 QuoteEverything in moderation....including moderation! It's interesting that you said that about yourself. I believe that I have willpower, but I am an "all or nothing" type of person. If I believe that I shouldn't do something or something is wrong for me, then I just stay away from it completely. I don't do moderation very well...hmmm...
