flygirl03 0 #1 September 26, 2004 As kai2k1 posted, I did Finally get my A. I want to (preferably) add something to the tat I got when I passed AFF and jumped my first solo, to mark this new achievement. Or, get something new.. I need suggestions for how to enhance, the tat I have. I Thought about having the pins colored in to cover the "highlights" The pins just don't look right like that. My tat guy said the pins would have to be black to cover it up. Then I want to add blue *sky* between the sun streaks. Any other suggestions??? Thanks C Edited to enlarge photo ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ earthbound misfit
falxori 0 #2 September 26, 2004 why change something that works? (p.s , a bigger picture would cool "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
tracylu 0 #3 September 26, 2004 I think if you color in blue between the sun beams it'll only lessen the contrast and have the pins blend in. I think you picked a good design to start, and cant really see how you could modify it to make it better. Best of luck figuring it out and congrats again on the A!freefall puts everything in perspective

girlygirl 0 #8 September 26, 2004 It looks great as is... I would get something else or nothing at all. I already had wings but wanted a pin as well someplace hidden and small. Haven't figured out where to put it yet though. Looking for an excellent pin drawing or photo to give my tattartist for reference but haven't found one. What did you use for the pins. They are very nice. If you can help me out that would be great....

The pins are the size plus tracing around them. I gave him the "formation" of the pins, he added the sun and pin highlights. *** Thanks for all your opinions But, since the general consensus is leave it alone I guess I will But now I have to come up with something new and figure out where to put it ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ earthbound misfit

GogglesnTeeth 6 #11 September 27, 2004 I have to agree with a few of the folks here. Leave it alone! You will get more licenses, awards, etc.... that would be a tatoo under constant change. I would leave it alone. Looks good.Goggles and Teeth "You fall like a greased safe!!!"

ccowden 0 #15 September 28, 2004 I think it looks great the way it is. Although it is hard to get a feel for how big it is. PM me a pic of it where I can see your ass too. Just for size comparison! Just playin! Looks great! I would leave it alone. It looks great now, and if you added something and really didn't like it, it would be a bigger problem. Bluee 0 #17 September 28, 2004 I would save the money for the laser treatment you will require when one of the following happens: 1) You realize you will not skydive your whole life like you thought you would 2) You realize getting a tattoo was a really stupid idea that was done to be different but was actually done to fit in 3) You get older and those curved pins look like the melting watches from a Dali painting 4) You possibly become successful in life and you realize that tattoos look like trailer trash on anyone except a Navy SEAL or other special forces soldiers. Congratulations on getting your 'A' Your tattoo is gorgeous, nice taste, design & much to be proud of. If you play around with a stamp or cut yourself out a pin pattern there is much that can be added to your design if you please. It is a beauty just as it is also. Only suggestion I have is back tats with streched horizonal diamond shape..fit nice. Hard to describe- attached my back tat and a few designs with pins...2 or 3 are more horizontal shape. I definately agree with that - but if you made a back ground of faint clouds and blue sky that fade off into the skin - It "Could" be added without looking like an addition.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun
