Koen_dude 0 #1 November 10, 2009 Hi, I am going to buy a javelin with a sabre 150, a PD 143 150 for 1600 euro (all second hand). A merit 170 (since I have to jump that one before I am allowed to switch to the sabre) for 100 euro and an 1 year old argus 1000 euro. Is this a fair price? bigway 4 #3 November 10, 2009 BTW 1000 EUros would buy you a BRAND NEW cypres and include shipping. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
virgin-burner 1 #4 November 10, 2009 i'd sell you the exact same system for 1200.- euros!“Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
dragon2 2 #5 November 10, 2009 The merit is fair, the argus sounds expensive, the rig totally depends on age, condition, freefly suitability, colors, options (killline pilotchute) etc. But also take into account where you're getting it from: if it's from some other jumper you pay less than if it's from The Case, Caroline Suits etc. If you're getting it from Skydivesupplies the price is usually more than fair, and if youre not, be sure to give Eric a call he's very good at newbie gear deals. Also does the gear include a yearly check? ciel bleu, Saskia
Koen_dude 0 #6 November 10, 2009 Yes, it's from skydivesupplies, I already got some messages about the argus, they say that I could get them new for the same price. I wonder why Erik didn't say so.
dragon2 2 #7 November 10, 2009 In general, it's unlikely you'll get a better deal than Eric's, especially the merit will save you a lot of money and you can sell it for the same or use it as a car cover when you're done with it (my prefered option is the last one LOL). Don't know about the argus, but the rig price will include assembly, yearly check and stuff with Eric, you'd have to pay assembly separate if you buy it somewhere else, and the age of an argus isn't that important anyway, not like a cypres. A year is nothing... Anyway, like I said, Eric's a good choice for newbie gear ciel bleu, Saskia
