Slappie 9 #4 September 14, 2004 There is only one reason for all these storms in Florida this year.. I blame TheAnvil!! he moved to Florida so it's all his fault. CanuckInUSA 0 #5 September 14, 2004 Yes what's up with Jeanne. First she sets some skydiving speed records and now she wants to cause havoc on the Carribean and FL? Come on Jeanne, give the poor people a break. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

These storms are the only good thing about me not moving to Florida this year! BTW - I want to guess that this storm will turn North away from Florida before it hits land._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... dove 0 #8 September 14, 2004 Don't be such an alarmist. Maximum sustained winds of 40 mph?!?!?!?! Ivan was 160 mph with gusts up to 200 mph. Jeanne is a gentle zephyr in comparison. Fall in dove.

What concerns me though, if you look at that last circle (8am Sunday), it has an "H" inside it which corresponds to hurricane force winds. Of course, that is still 5 days away and a lot could change by then. However if it strengthins to hurricane force by the Bahamas, it could be pretty nasty by the time it makes landfall in Florida. davedlg 0 #10 September 16, 2004 Well...It's official...Jeanne's a Hurricane now. For all of you in Florida, I hope this projected track is accurate.. As for me...I'm headed off to West Virginia to go whitewater rafting! What's left of Ivan should be hitting there this weekend make this an interesting trip to say the least. I'm expecting high water...

skymama 37 #17 September 23, 2004 Good Lord...after teasing us for a week (bad Jeanne, bad!), Jeanne changed her track and is projected to hit Cape Canaveral at noon on Sunday. And just when I thought I was going to jump again this weekend after the other 2 hurricanes. Silly me. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
bendywendy 0 #18 September 23, 2004 I quit already. I've only had power back for a little over a week and still don't have telephone. The dropzone has barely been up and running (Sebastian) and now...Jeanne which we thought should already be long gone and Lisa is still out there somewhere too. skymama 37 #19 September 23, 2004 They just came on tv and said she's not moving very quickly and they'll probably push back when she makes landfall. Maybe we can still salvage the weekend or at least Saturday. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
ChasingBlueSky 0 #20 September 23, 2004 wow, what a change. Last night it was looking like she was going to stay off the coast of FL and head North. http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ftp/graphics/AT11/refresh/AL1104W5+GIF/231458W5.gif The good news is that Lisa looks as lost as Karl! http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ftp/graphics/AT13/refresh/AL1304W5+GIF/231458W5.gif_________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... RyanofOZ 0 #23 September 23, 2004 Just got my 70 Gal of gas in the garage again! How I love pack-ratting fuel for the generator. So much for jumping this weekend. My home DZ (Seb) will never be working at this rate! Any fellow jumpers in the area, I throw a hell of a hurricane party. Last one for Frances was nuts, this one should be just as fun. I have enough power to run the house with A/C and all so it a comfy place to get trashed and sleep. Damn hurricaines.....Oz
