gulaz 1 #1 September 21, 2004 I will be living in St Jean Quebec from the start of May-mid August next summer, and am trying to find out about the dropzones in the area. Im looking for something fairly close, but with a good atmosphere where you can actually jump with people. Any opinions are greatly appreciated
Remster 30 #2 September 21, 2004 St Jean is very very close to Nouvel Air in Farnham (20 minutes away). Probably the largest and one of the most professionnal ones in Canada (dont flame me, I said ONE OF lol.. not putting doen anyone else ). 3 beech 18s. Lots of tandems during the weekend, but lots of RW too, from 2 ways to 4 to 36 way formations loads. The one thing at the DZ that can be improved (and that is improving with the social club) is the club-feeling about the place: its a skydiving school 1st, but you have probably more regulars there then you will have at any other DZ. Its where I spend all my cash pretty much! lol Adrenaline in Bellefeuille is north of Montreal (75 minutes from St Jean I would guess). 1 182 and 1 205 Cesna, much smaller, but more of a club feel. Its a small DZ that wants to grow. They're a DZ in Joliette, one in Victoriaville that are close-ish too, but I doint know them at all (but they are also smallish). There are 2 dzs close to Quebec City, once larger then the other, but thats about 2 hours from St Jean. PM me if you want more info.Remster
el_chester 4 #3 September 21, 2004 Last year i lived north of Montreal and the closest DZ there is Para Vision A really nice and friendly bunch of people! That DZ is very near St Jerome. I don't know where St Jean is at, but if it's not far from Para Vision, I strongly reccommend the place and people there. Chester (Eric) -- Be careful giving advice. ypelchat 0 #4 September 21, 2004 And whenever you feel the need to breathe jet fuel, Atmosphair (St-Jean-Chrysostome), is located just 15km south of Quebec City. Of course that's about 200km of St-Jean, but Atmosphair is the only turbine DZ in Quebec (1 King Air A 100 ), and also two C182. Yves.

Chester (Eric) Paravision (or whatever it's called under new ownership- Adrenaline I think?) is pretty cool... The trick to land in that clearing is to pick three of the multiple windsock/windbvlades there and average out the wind directions LOL... You should have a half-decent upwind landing Marz BTW, my whole family (aunts and uncles) on my mom's side live in St-Jean...
