ChasingBlueSky 0 #28 September 15, 2004 More than once I have looked over at my Suunto and was looking at what time it was over what Alti I was at. A good positive grip over your wrist can change what mode it is in. It's fun under canopy but I wouldn't rely on it when setting up a hook._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... RevJim 0 #31 September 15, 2004 QuoteI was looking at a CBR600 F4 What would you be loading that at? Do you have the proper experience? Have you had formal training? Do you have a minimum of 400 succesful rides on one of these Followed by at least 400 succesful coached rides on one of these? Also, do you have anyone of proper authority that can vouch for you, and possibly be bribed into signing a waiver allowing you to purchase said rocket without actually completing the proper training? Ron 10 #34 September 15, 2004 QuoteWhat would you be loading that at? I can't find the HP of the 599 engine...But it would be a lot. The bike weighs 370 pounds, and I weigh 160. I would guess the bike is around 100 HP....So that would be a lot more than my 270 HP Mustang. QuoteDo you have the proper experience? Sort of....But not really. Which is why I DON'T OWN ONE. See I KNOW I don't have the experience to own it, so I didn't buy it. Unlike some new guys on canopies. QuoteHave you had formal training? Yes. QuoteDo you have a minimum of 400 succesful rides on one of these No, but I owned a moped and had hundreds of rides on it. QuoteFollowed by at least 400 succesful coached rides on one of these? No but I did also have a 125cc Duel purpose bike for a few years, and have several hours in the saddle of a 750. I alsoowned a Harley for three days before I realized I hated it. QuoteAlso, do you have anyone of proper authority that can vouch for you, and possibly be bribed into signing a waiver allowing you to purchase said rocket without actually completing the proper training? RevJim 0 #36 September 15, 2004 QuoteSort of....But not really. Which is why I DON'T OWN ONE. Well, I see no problem here. I do have the proper experience for this bike, so I strongly suggest you go out and buy it, and I'll coach you on it until I feel you are ready. Buy a sissy bar, wouldn't want you falling off.
