sagan 0 #1 November 25, 2009 This is for the Icon1 (not size, icon1 as in not the new version of the icon) What side is the RSL supposed to be on. I checked the manual but unless I'm mistaken it didn't specify. I'm guessing it's on the right side just because I currently have it assembled on the left side and that would just be natural for it to take up 20 minutes in switching risers (already hooked to canopy for all you wise asses that are gonna say, you can't hook up a 3 ring in <20mins)-Patrick
likestojump 3 #2 November 25, 2009 All the Icons I have seen (10 of them) had the RSL on the inside of the left riser
mjosparky 4 #3 November 25, 2009 Patrick, Speaking for all the wise asses out there, this is a question that should have been asked before hooking up or packing. And no, I don't have the answer. riggerpaul 1 #4 November 25, 2009 Quote What side is the RSL supposed to be on. I checked the manual but unless I'm mistaken it didn't specify. There are pictures in the manual. I have a manual dated May 2005. The picture on page 17 shows the RSL guide rings on the left side of the top flap, Page 18 has a picture with the RSL installed going over the left shoulder. Page 22 has a couple of pictures that are ambiguous. Page 25 has a picture of the 3 Rings assembled. You can see a bit of the RSL ring at the top of the picture of the left 3 Ring. The RSL ring is on the left riser, facing in for all Icons, young & old. The exception is new Icons fitted with Skyhooks. Those are on the right.
