Tekla 0 #1 September 13, 2004 I have Windows XP but I'd like to stop using Internet Explorer 6 in favor of another browser. Any recommendations ? My first thought was FireFox 0.9 from Mozilla, but if you have any preferences of your own then please give it to me baby. While I'm at it, what about a replacement for Outlook Express ? Mozilla again with their Thunderbird software ? Lu-"let the beast beware"-cy .

CrazyIvan 0 #3 September 13, 2004 I have NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER using IE6, I guess, the problems originate due to the "user's browsing habits", in most cases, for being CARELESS about what the user is downloading and browsing. If you want an alternative, I'd suggest this one.__________________________________________ Blue Skies and May the Force be with you.
RevJim 0 #4 September 13, 2004 Firefox and Thunderbird both here, for a while. I'm VERY happy with the stability of both, and the tabbed browsing of Firefox is exceptional. AFAIAC, Firefox is THE next generation of browsers. It's your life, live it! popsjumper 2 #6 September 13, 2004 Mozilla Firefox! Hands down, for me. My IE6 got the about:blank sickness so I just rolled over to Firefox and I am VERY impressed with it. dixieskydiver 0 #7 September 14, 2004 Where are all my Oprah peeps? It takes a second to tweak out all the extra menu bullcrap but once it gets cleaned up its real nice. I love tabbed browsing now. Plus it filters out most of the crap targeted at IE 6. Dixie HISPA #56 Facil Rodriguez "Scientific research has shown that 60% of the time, it works every time." MWGemini 0 #15 September 14, 2004 I use a program called Crazy Browser, which basically is IE on steroids. Has tabbed browsing and several other cool features, with the same look and UI as IE. Even shares the same settings, so you can use IE and CB at the same time with teh same bookmarks, change one, it affects the other. Pretty handy, IMO.
