addicted 0 #1 September 11, 2004 I'm going to New York later this year for a few days, and I wondered if there is money to save if I buy gear in the US compared to Europe. I'm a fairly new jumper, so I need everything like helmet, altimeter, suit, audible and rig... Any good skydiving-shops in NY I should pay a visit? How bout buying second-hand? And last.. will there be any problems regarding customs if I choose to buy something and take it home?
Remster 30 #2 September 11, 2004 The Ranch, just nort of NYC, has a nice gear shop with lots of accessories. Call them or email Sonic for some info (look up their email in the DZ listings here)Remster
dbattman 0 #3 September 13, 2004 It would be worth it to ask around. Just walk up to a group of jumpers and tell them you're looking for used gear. Lots of jumpers have old stuff lying around that they don't use anymore and don't get around to selling.
