MikeJD 0 #3 September 10, 2004 Which part of London are you moving to? Makes a significant geographical difference when it comes to choosing a dropzone.
mr2mk1g 10 #4 September 10, 2004 Yeah dude I don't think you'll find anywhere actually in London to drink... you're best off hopping on a train to somewhere like Oxford or Cambridge. The lack of good watering holes in the capitol sucks man.
gremlin 0 #5 September 10, 2004 Well there is just one - it is called Heaven and is located next to Charing Cross station. It is a type of theme pub with lound music and a a 70s theme - so wear a shirt showing plenty of chest, very tight jeans and put a hankie in your back pocket as this will get you free drinks...I'm drunk, you're drunk, lets go back to mine.... skreamer 1 #8 September 10, 2004 Hibaldstow. The best isn't close, but what is close isn't close to best.
mr2mk1g 10 #9 September 10, 2004 Another option is Weston on the Green nr. Oxford. I spent a wonderful season there a year ago and love the place. I’m not so enamoured with them now they’re put their prices up and reduced their opening hours but a nice place non the less. They do have the honour of having the cheapest bar of any DZ in the country. RAF regulations mean the bar is not allowed to make any more than 12p per drink. You are therefore provided with pints for about 74p and doubles and mixers for about 86p (glaringly inaccurate I’m sure but close enough and from memory... and at those prices I don’t tend to have a good memory). The lack of good watering holes in the capitol sucks man. There's plenty of good watering holes in London you just need to seek them out. If you don't have a clue try www.fancyapint.com or just go for a little wonder in an area that takes your fancy Sky Pikey
