How much of it have you been able to understand? the only part I am comming unstuck on is that there are so many important people to remember and when he refers back to them you think "HUH" Started on the Weeekend and on page 200 already any opinions / points to discuss?Peace Be Da Journey
dove 0 #2 September 7, 2004 I absolutely LOVE Bill Bryson! I only just heard about this book. I can't wait to get my hands on it! I just recently read In A Sunburned Country and have also read A Walk In The Woods and The Mother Tongue. He is such an amazing writer - very thought provoking and humorous as well. Fall in dove. PrairieDoug 0 #5 September 7, 2004 Thanks -- I'm overdue to start a new book and this looks like a contender. Bryson's "A Walk in the Woods" about hiking the Appalachian trail was very entertaining and thought provoking.
