Recommended Posts

Who here has read Bill Bryson's " A short History of nearly everything" ??

I am in the proccess of reading it - and WOW it is amazingly interresting.
How much of it have you been able to understand?
the only part I am comming unstuck on is that there are so many important people to remember and when he refers back to them you think "HUH"

Started on the Weeekend and on page 200 already :)any opinions / points to discuss?

I absolutely LOVE Bill Bryson! I only just heard about this book. I can't wait to get my hands on it! I just recently read In A Sunburned Country and have also read A Walk In The Woods and The Mother Tongue. He is such an amazing writer - very thought provoking and humorous as well. :)

I gave that book to my dad based off reviews on this site and he just finished it over the weekend. He loved it and told me he will read it again at some point because there is just so much interesting info in the book.

I'm referring to the Bryson book, but I did give him both of those books based off the reviews on this site. You people are so handy to have around. ;)
