tfelber 0 #1 August 18, 2004 I was speaking with Mayor Neil and his wife Saturday night and they asked me what they needed to change to make it better. I told them it was already fantastic, but more specialty aircraft, can you say JET, would definately be appreciated. He said that was the number one answer. Vallerina 2 #3 August 18, 2004 Entertainment. With such a wide variety of great bands that are local (Mike and Joe come to mind...) I'm surprised that they have such crap for entertainment. The toga parties and wet t-shirt contests have nothing to offer me, so I didn't hang out too much. I would rather go and see a good band play. They could also use more recycling bins since so many people drink from plastic and glass bottles all week long. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
mwabd1 0 #4 August 18, 2004 The grass in the camping area past rick & ricks needs to be cut shorter. I know many people who had holes in the floor of their tents because of the straw. Public packing area's were kinda sparce, under the load organizer tents people were very greedy with the space so how about a big public packing tent. The wet tshirt contest needs to either be eliminated, or really be a wet tshirt contest. The naked, lesbian, lapdance show it turned into was disgusting. Everyone knows i'm all about seeing hot naked chicks, but that went way over the top. ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug! flyangel2 2 #6 August 18, 2004 NO band or bar set up near tent city. More porta potties. Someone to clean out the showers at least once a day. Dagny 0 #7 August 18, 2004 My opinion.... What needs to change at WFFC? Simple. I need to be there next year. It is soooo not the same reading about it! Take me, I am the drug; take me, I am hallucinogenic. -Salvador Dali
Vallerina 2 #8 August 18, 2004 QuoteNO band or bar set up near tent city. Haha! Well, I was talking more about the entertainment in the "Entertainment Tent." It seemed to be lacking. All they really have to do is cruise the local universities to find out what's good around here. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
Nutz 0 #9 August 18, 2004 I agree about the band in tent city. It is bad enough trying to go to sleep listening to the band in the entertainment tent, then you have a garage band 4 tents down whose only claim to fame is that they play REALLY loud, well, you see the problem. There were water fountains last year?! Why not this year? The hot showers were good, some shower curtains would be nice. (It was ok until some guy starts talking to me. Dude, not in the shower, ok? I know - I'm homophobic.)
flyangel2 2 #10 August 18, 2004 If you noticed, I finally talked to Jim, head of security, and had him shut down the band and music on that corner by 1:00 a.m. I should have talked to him earlier in the week.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. sunshine 2 #11 August 18, 2004 The new showers are great. We're lucky enough to have stalls in the women's shower. Somehow i'm not too worried about the bar in tent city. I doubt they made any money so they prolly wont come back. Oh gee darn. Maybe get some custom printed WFFC pull up cords for the goody bag. I can never get enough pull up cords. Not allowing any kids to drive golfcarts, sport bikes, etc. Free soda at night is a good idea. They had it last year, but not this year. Porta potties with the hand sanitizer dispensers. I know the company that WFFC rented from last year had them, but this year it was a different company and they didn't have them. PhreeZone 20 #12 August 18, 2004 Split DZ row into 2 sections. One where it was this year, and the second over where the RV's were. I think that some goups would to have liked to have the option to RV near their DZ tent since RV's were out of the majority of tent city. It would thin out DZ Row some and make more camping room. Free soda at night would be nice too. Turn the volume down a tad on the bands. It was actually painful a few nights. Cross roads planned in tent City to keep from having to weave around tents. It would really have been nice to have a walk path planed from the hole in the fence to the one road behind DZ row. Power outlets in Tent City, water spickets, straw to throw over mud puddles, enforcing the ban on no motors in Tent City after 10. There was one night that some one decided to sleep in their car and run the engine to keep warm (he was sitting in the car with no shirt on), too bad this jerk decided to rev the car to the red line every 5 minutes to get the heater to stay on high. Then he decided to turn his stero on to keep him company. It took security tapping on his windows to get him to listen. Honestly.. the WFFC needs to get some speciality planes. I can jump a Turbine or Tailgate at almost any DZ in the US, and the helo I was'nt overly impressed with. When the most buzz was generated by the PAC... It would be a whole lot eaiser to justify my time if there was something there that I knew I could'nt jump any where else. The Connie, the Jet... where are all the planes that were there in the 90's? The parties even seem a whole lot tamer then they were in 2002. A better choice of beer would be much appriciated. Miller? Get us something that we actually enjoy driniking Get the bands to take a break at midnight so the RB's can do their thing with out having to scream over the band too Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

EricaH 0 #14 August 18, 2004 Everything Phree said, esp including turning the volume down on the band. Last year there was a space between the party tent & the food tent. It was packed not because of the free beer - which doesn't taste good enough to drink, but because of people trying to save their ear drums. I went to bed the first few nights w/ my ears ringing, the next few nights I partied in the RV park & could still hear the band. Mort porta-poties w/ toilet paper restocked daily. More trash cans. Water fountains. The grass in alternate tent-city is deadly!! It actually punctured my foot. I guess cutting it would be best. If there's gonna be a contest - leave the strippers @ the stip clubs. Or have a seperate stripper bar. I would like to add though that I LOVED the new showers!! I paid for the RV park, but the shower facilities there are sadly lacking!! I ended up showering @ the museum 3 times. And the hot water was plentiful. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. Only you can fix your fear. diablopilot 2 #15 August 18, 2004 Ditto on the soad, and the motor vehical ban after 10p, in tent city and stuff. How about an "alternate entertainment" tent. Maybe with a DJ and dance mucic. There were two bands I liked, Dr something or other (cant' remember), and one other. Otherwise they were just loud and had did way too many Creed covers. More shuttles from the Wuffo bleachers/swoop pond, to the A/C tents. Oh and see if the food vendors will have more vegies? I loved the food, but by the time I left I would have killed for a huge salad!---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously. Whoever did porta-potties last year was better, they had more and they were everywhere you needed one. Also more trash cans. Why oh WHY did they move the beer stand behind the band stand this year, it was better between the food and entertainment tents. QuoteWhy oh WHY did they move the beer stand behind the band stand this year, it was better between the food and entertainment tents Again, agreed! It was sooo annoying that the jello shot/beer stand was sooo far from the food, bar area. It was actually behind the band, which was a horrible place to have it. It was too far...especially, if someone is having difficulty walking in the first place. The bands could have been MUCH better! Edited: Overall, though, this being my first time at WFFC...it was absolutely AWESOME!!!

You have tons of people like me who didn't really participate in that kind of stuff, but I would love to see some of the local bands that played at my school (and also frequently hit U of I.) The RB had their thing just outside the Entertainment Tent before. How come it was moved? It seemed like it was in a better spot before. Okay, so I'm boring, but I'd rather have a place to have beers and talk with a few of my friends and have good music playing in the background. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
