The freakiest sh*t I ever saw (paranormal)...

Recommended Posts

I was flying back from Carowinds in North Carolina with my family. It was quite dark because of the overcast. Thunderstorms that were forecast to be occasional, suddenly appeared in front of us and on both sides. When I did a 180, storms had closed in that route as well. I made a decision that I would find a suitable road and land rather than fly through a thunderstorm with already crying children. We were being thrown around.

I picked the best available location and started my descent when suddenly airport lights came on off of my right wing. I quickly turned and landed just as the bottom fell out. We taxied up and got out to wait out the storms. I thanked those at the airport for turning on the lights for me. The reply was, "We didn't know you were there and we didn't turn the lights on, they just came on." The lights at this private airport airport were not automatically on every night, still aren't. I’ve only been here about a year and haven’t heard anything about Ballast Point. This happened about 3 blocks north of Euclid. What’s some good stories about Ballast point? I’m sure there are other people in Tampa, and people on this thread for that matter, that would like to hear the stories about that area.

This is a link to an aweosme site with some good stories on it. http://theshadowlands.net/ (hope the clicky works!). I have to go out, if I can be bothered when I get back I'll post some of my stories.

When I was 10 my mom and I moved back to El Salvdor, where I'm from. We lived in my Grandmothers house which was built around 1920 or there abouts. Anyway, I never liked that house and use to have the worst nightmares I've ever had in my life. Even to this day, the nightmares I have now dont compare to the ones I had when we lived there for 8 months. OK now to the freaky shit:

-The most common one I had was of this "burning" man coming into my room. I would wake up screaming and go running to my moms room. It was freaking aweful. This would also freak out my mom and the maids we had at the house, since I was so discriptive in telling them this nightmare. Finally after about a month she sat me down and said we need to talk. She and my aunt explained to me that about 20 years or so ago an electrcian had fried himself while working on intstalling a fuse box there.

-There was this room in the house, on the second floor that I never went into. There was just a bad 'vibe' about that room. What also made it worse for me is that one of my nightmares involved that room. Anyway the nightmare was of me being chased by this man who hung himself and hat cut his wrists. I couldnt see his face I just saw this man coming after me with blood all over him and a mangled face. I told this to my Aunt and mom. This one really freaked em out. Anyway, my aunt told me that one of our relatives had killed himself in that room in the 1960s and the reason he killed himself was that he was going to trial for the murder of 2 young kids, a little girl and boy.

I also had a bunch of other weird ass and crazy dreams in that house. My mom was getting really concerned and worried about me so she sold the house and we moved somewhere else. I've been back to El Salvador a few times and we've driven by the house, its a small hotel now. My aunt wanted to go in for old time sakes I refused. I hate that house.

That's scary as hell!!! :o

I saw my grandpa walk into my room when I was younger...maybe 10. Grandpa was still alive and sleeping in the next room. He was kind of hazy white/blue and just stood in the doorway looking down on me and my brother and sister.

I didn't ask him about it the next morning, I was too afraid to ask how he did it, or if he remembered or did it intentionally. I kinda wish I would have, he's gone now. [:/] Grandpa, grandma, and my mom all had/have a lot of special gifts.

Wow..that's cool! but what does this mean? 'The bottom fell out'?

"The bottom fell out" is southern for raining about as hard as it gets. (I knew somebody would ask that.)

In '96 I was hiking in the White Mountains of New Hampshire with a group of friends. We knew there was a good size storm brewing , but we were equipped, so we went on our planned hike anyway. When we got above the treeline we had winds of 60-70 mph, with gusts to 100 (typical fall weather for the Mount Washington area). We were near the summit (mt Lafayette or Lincoln) when we came to a notch that was funneling the wind over the crest of the ridge. It was blowing so hard we could see watervapor condensing out of the air into streamers of mist as it went through the gap. We decided to go across one at a time, and I was bringing up the rear.
As I was waiting for the guy ahead of me to cross, I got the distinct feeling that something out in the storm knew I was there, but couldn't quite see me and I couldn't see it. I felt that if I stayed a little longer and waited for just the right moment we would be able to see each other through the violence of the storm. It was a strange and eerie feeling , but not threatening.
The wind dropped a bit and I hurried across the gap. I found out later that a climber had frozen to death in that gap a few years earlier.

i know someone who is schizophrenic and sees and hears all kinds of freaky-ass shit (and cool 'good' stuff too) like demons and angels

he's definately 'crazy' by our definitions, but some of the descriptions of stuff he sees are so vivid and strange and really detailed. like a permanant acid trip?

i read somewhere that people trying to gain some kind of 'enlightment' used to take drugs and try to induce a state like that. *shiver* no way in hell i would ever want to experience that personally!

I mean seriously. Seeing ghosts and paranormal things? Give me a break.

Is there a reason why you don't believe?

Come on, Chelle...most people wouldn't want to meet Tuna in the here and now...who in the HELL would go out of their way to meet him in the after-life?? :o:D

I guess this is cheating because it was in a movie but for weeks after seeing "The Ring" I'd get an ominous sense of fear and I swear that little bitch was hiding behind every parked van and every corner while I was out jogging, talk about giving things a wide berth........

Accelerate hard to get them looking, then slam on the fronts and rollright beside the car, hanging the back wheel at eye level for a few seconds. Guaranteed reaction- Dave Sonsky

Same reason I don't believe in Santa Clause, Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny and little Leprechauns dancing around a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Call me loony.

Well, some things are real wether you believe in them or not.

To each his own. But if Princeton has PEAR, Stanford has SRI, and Duke Uni had the Rhine Institute they're curious about something. Not to mention that many Professors from world class colleges are memeber of the Society for Scientific Exploration. Then again what do a bunch of Phds know.

You see??? I'll prove you wrong RIGHT NOW!!! I know the Tooth Fairy exists! I AM the Tooth Fairy!! :) And I have the teeth, and the missing change to prove it. :) I'm shelling out 2 silver dollars apiece for these pearly whites. :S Thank God my dominion is only 3 children...:P)
