mraardvark 0 #1 August 17, 2004 Joan Meadow was badly injured July 28 in Monroe Ga. She is still in a stepdown room from ICU at Grady Hospital in Atlanta. Joan will live! She now recognizes us and engages in short, rational conversations. She has a long way to go but we still have our friend and she know us! We appreciate all of you who have donated to help support her children and keep her mortgage going. She is a single mom of 2 with no health insurance. You've started other threads in other forums in the past, if you want to bring this back then perhaps you can resurrect one of those. If it is some other, then further actual incident details would also be appreciated. Sorry that your friend apparently chose to be jumping without any sort or form of insurance(s). Mistake #1 in the mistake "chain of events" sequence? Hopefully she recovers fully, and quickly. I know I'm just a newbie, but if helping the Florida Skydiving Center at Lake Wales can merit front-page-center attention on the dz.com homepage, I don't think it's outrageous to post an update on the Joan Meadow indicent. MrHixxx 0 #6 August 18, 2004 I don't think Charles is as forum savy as the rest of us and maybe the better for it. I was in Monroe working as a rigger when she was hurt and I assembled Charles' rig. He is quite legit and easily Joan's best friend in this life. Enough of a friend to stay and care for her until she was stabilized and on a copter when he would make a visit to Emergency for his own injuries shortly after. So if there is any question of his legitimacy, I'll back it with mine.
