AggieDave 6 #2 August 11, 2004 I didn't claw my way to the top of the food chain to eat the things the food eats. Actually, I enjoy eating meat too much to go without it, not to mention that you can either eat meat right and be healthy or eat only non-meat and have to suppliment what your missing. (Yes, blanket statement, don't try to tell me otherwise, I've done quite a bit of research into vegetarian eating/lifestyle as well as veganism).--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." mcrocker 0 #10 August 11, 2004 I like my meat served with a side of meat. Gonna have a nice steak tonight. I'm sure AggieDave will laugh at what us New Englanders call a steak but it is the best I can do for now. Oooh. lookie! lunch time, gonna go have my MEAT sandwich

cocheese 0 #12 August 11, 2004 Yes veggie boy for 10 months now. There's been some positive changes. Less road rage, less stomach cramps and tiredness from eating, less mood swings or chemical imbalances it seems.Always wanted to try it... and committed to it for 1 month after reading the Blood type Diet book. Don't want to go back. I used to put bacon on everything. And eat all that good stuff. Meat on the grill still smells good. Might go vegan someday. Still eatin fish.Missed ya at the convention Chelle. Maybe next year.

Interesting.
 PhillyKev 0 #18 August 11, 2004 Not to mention gelatin which is in just about everything. My sister tries to not use or eat any animal products for her personal ethics. I see her eating stuff with gelatin in it all the time but don't have the heart to tell her.
 freeflybella 0 #19 August 11, 2004 Nope, no eggs, dairy (not even casein or whey) or fur. I don't wear make-up but if I do - I buy from non-animal sources. I wear wool, I eat honey and very occasionally eat tuna sushi. I try to avoid leather (gave away 3 leather jackets a few years ago and most of my shoes are leather-free), I still buy film and jump from airplanes. My diet is more of a personal protest to the way food animals are treated, handled and slaughtered - and in turn how the meat affects us and what it does to our bodies. I'm not a radical activist. And I'm not a perfect person - I don't use the word vegan as some sort of righteous badge of honor, it just best describes my diet and my line of thinking. Again, sorry if I sounded rude...
