I had a hot date to a Nascar race!

Recommended Posts

Yes, I have lived in Indiana my entire life, and I had never been to a race. It seems odd, but it's true.

This past weekend, I met up with this really hot guy, and he took me to the Brickyard 400 in Indianapolis to watch a race for the very first time. We were very excited about being there!

We got there early enough to look around and we got to stand on the track. It was neat to see the cars up close.

We walked around for a bit, and I don't think I've ever seen so many people! We finally got to our (which he did the very sexy thing of haggling for!) We had some great views of the race! WOW! I've watched it on television a couple of times, but you can't appreciate just how fast they're going until you see it live! It is soooo loud, too! Luckily, I went with this really hot who knew what was up, so he took a scanner and headphones along, so that we could enjoy the race more.

Anyways, I had a great time even though my man Tony Stewart didn't win (but 5th isn't bad!)

I'm a lucky gal. I got to go to a drive-in theater for the first time, ride around on the back of a bike, see a laser light show, go to a race, and hit the Convention all in one weekend! I need a nap!

i've been a nascar fan for many years, and finally got to see my first race last summer. it was amazing! if you want to watch the race, you see way more on tv, but if you want to experience the race, you gotta go to the track at least once. i went to pocono and because the track is so big we basically only saw them going down the front stretch, but the speed and sound was incredible, very visceral, you could feel the sound pounding into you. they go by so fast, that if you looked straight ahead at the track, you could see cars go by but you had no idea who was who, the colors all blurred together.

...and tony is my favourite driver as well, he was kicking ass, then blew up his motor with about 30 laps or so to go. oh well, at least i beat the rush out of the track.

That was really cool, too! We would hold a can of Pringles, and you could feel it vibrate!!!

OK, now that you've watched the taxi cabs "race" at The Speedway, now you need to watch THE race at The Speedway...........the Indy 500 of course.

Hint: Indy cars go faster through the turns than stock cars do on the straights. B|

NASCAR? Isn't that the thing where the guys drive around in circles all day and the only rule is that you can't make a right turn? B|

You must be thinking of something else, otherwise Watkins Glen would be a messy race.

With 250,000 people in attendance, I'm not sure how you didn't run into each other either!! :D:D

Eh... wide-open for 500 miles isn't that exciting. Especially when, by the last lap there's about 4 cars left on the lead lap (if that), and only about 1/3 of the field that started even still in the race. Years ago it was a good race, it's just lost it. Oh, and I've never witnessed a spectator getting killed at the Brickyard, so maybe that has a little to do with it. :D

I would go to that but only to see Tony. :P;) I was disappointed he didn't throw a fit, but I did get to listen to him apologizing to his crew! :D

I like the shirt you were wearing. Gee, where could you have gotten that? :P

I was guilted into it since I slapped Mike in the face during a mean game of basketball! :D I asked him to play basketball with me the last time I was out there, and he said, "NO!"
