which breakfast cereals excite you?

Recommended Posts

this week i have gravitated back towards Coco Pops for that chocolately hit in the morning.

When i'm feeling sophisticated and mature, i will usually grab a box of Crunchy Nut Cornflakes, but that's usually my 1 out of every 4 boxes of choice.

I often mix Sugar Puffs (Smacks to those Stateside) or Ricicles with Jordans Country Crisp with Luxury Raisins (man raisins in the mix are so damn good, especially when the milk softens them up a bit!).

One of my fav cereals which i only get as a rare treat, are Frosted Wheats , but at £2 something a box, which will only provide approx 5 bowlfuls, it's too expensive to have all the time, not to mention all that sugar! (but damn they taste good!)

I remember when i was young visiting family in South Africa, you could get Strawberry Pops which were amazing - i haven't had them in about 12 years though, i have no idea why they aren't available in the UK, Kellogs needs to change that, i think they would do very well here.

I can't be the only near 30 year old who gets excited about cereals aimed at kids, surely. What do you guys get from the cereal aisle? Also, "are you a pour the milk and eat straightaway person" or a "pour and wait until soft" kind of eater? Me, i'm sort of in the middle of the 2 - not too soft, not too hard.

I like shreddies....nice when they're left in the bowl with milk for a while and go almost mushy...

I try to stay away from the sugar coated ones, but the crunchy-nut cornflakes are damn nice. Harvest Cruch is nice, but you have to wait an age for it to go soggy...

Breakfast...best meal of the day!

Who says cereal has to be for breakfast?

I do things backward; I love a sandwich for breakfast and eggs and pancakes for dinner. We don't eat much cereal, but when I do, I simply must go for the tiger--Tony the tiger, that is. Frosted Flakes are Grrrrrreat!;):P

I also love the $4.50/box fruit and nut cereals (I can't think of the specific name) but can't remember the last time I brought myself to pay that for a damn box of cereal:P

I'm munching on some Cracklin' Oat Bran right now. Don't even need milk, just pour em' in a cup and eat em' like a snack.

I gotta' admit though, Froot Loops and Sugar Pops are the bomb.

Who else is a midnight feast cereal killer?

My boy-toy. We have been together 4 years next month and lived together 3. It still never ceases to amaze me the whole midnight snacking thing. I wake up in the morning starving, but in the middle of the night? You guys are nuts;):P

Another nearly 30 something loving the sugary cereal - though not always for breakfast!

Count chocula, fruity pebbles, and cinnamon toast crunch for me!

Though I add the cereal to the milk a little at a time cuz I hate soggy cereal!

Yeah, what he said! (Sh*t...do not tell me I'm agreeing with a Canadian...:o:(:P)

I mean, I dunno about getting excited about Cap'n Crunch...he isn't all buffed out or anything.

Only in the UK would they market a cereal as containing "Luxury raisins." Like, what are the other kinds? "Coach-class raisins?" "Uncomfortable raisins?" "Squalid raisins?"

Personally, I'm a fan of frosted flakes, but I also like honey-nut cheerios and cinnamon life. Gotta eat those crispy though - soggy cereal is just bleah. :S
