I'm also a snobby beer drinker; on the occassion I do not drink the ultra, I go for Corona. I will drink just about anything if it's free, but if I'm buying I will not buy anything else but those two.

Heineken and Amstel in Amsterdam. (It's nothing compared to the states; Heineken from the Heineken brewery is soooooo much better.)

Amstel Bright out of Curacao.

Corona if you're on the beach or a boat.

Rolling Rock/Yuengling for a nice light beer.

There's some other good ones but can't think of them right now.

Agree for sure with you on that one. Sadly not as readily available as I would like.

Hands down my favorite though is Hofbräuhaus. Could only ever find it in one or two bars that I frequented in NYC, which was always a bummer. If you are ever in Cincinnati, check out the Hofbräuhaus Haus in Newport, KY, just across the Ohio river. Can be obnoxious when packed, but a great atmosphere and where else can you purchase a liter mug of beer for $7. I still laugh when I think of my first visit there while still living in NYC and hearing people complain about a $7 liter of beer. At the same time I was pinching myself because I was accustomed to paying $7 or $8 for a single bottle. Haven't been drinking much since I moved back to GA so it has been a wonderful treat each time to look at the prices on the drink menu.
