mcrocker 0 #2 August 10, 2004 You don't have to lose a friend. You can pay the money you lost to learn a lesson. Keep your friend but never involve money with him/her again. You never know, maybe someday they will realize what they have done and repay you. I don't know how much money you lost, is it worth your friendship? PLFXpert 0 #4 August 10, 2004 Carrie's philosophy #21: You should never loan money to a friend, or anyone else, if you expect to receive it back. If you feel the cause is worthy, genuinely want to help, and have the $$$ to give away, then do it. If they pay you back it's a bonus. But if you need the funds, can not spare, or expect it back; don't do itPaint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
unformed 0 #5 August 10, 2004 Don't bring money in between friends, unless you know cantrust the friend. If and when you do bring money in between, use a small enough amount that you are willing to lose. If it is paid back, great, now you know you can at least somewhat trust them, but still keep loans at amounts that you can afford to lose. If they do screw you over, conscientously, fuck em; they're not your friend. (In some cases however, they might be strung up for cash, and really be trying to pay you back ... but depends on the situation. Someone who screws you over in a business is not a friend by any means. This ad space for sale.
