chileanXaos 0 #3 August 2, 2004 I live in south america , and there are no precision dealers , I am now starting a Instruction school , with my own plane , just got bored of our really old airplane and instructors. also Me and my friend won the freefly nationals , we are about to get sponsored by red bull . maybe with this we could apply to some kind of sponsor like a bigger discount on gear. and also becoming a dealer on my country

PhreeZone 20 #11 August 3, 2004 What they are saying is a dealer makes almost no money and they are struggling to get by. You get better deals on gear if you are sponsored by the factory instead of a dealer of the product. Getting paid for a demo jump is'nt unusual, but making a living off Demos is hard to do. Before you take up a Red Bull gig look up Felix in the BASE fourm and see peoples impression of him and Red Bull there Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

PhreeZone 20 #13 August 3, 2004 Are you just looking for discounts on gear/free gear? Manufactors want to know what will you do for them if they give you a canopy. Just saying jump it every weekend is'nt enough. They want to know how you will drum up business for them. How will you promote their product, how will you help them make money? If you run a school and only recommend certian products that thats a good start, but doing things like canopy schools, canopy demoing and product representation where they have no reps helps a lot too. That help?Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
chileanXaos 0 #14 August 3, 2004 I dont have really big achievements , but I think I am a usefull skydiver for a company , for example when I first ordered a crossfire , old skydivers told me how you bougth it now there are like 7 crossfires flying in my DZ , same thing my xaos-21 no one knew it , and told me the same stuff now they have seen me flying it , and say it really flyes great , Now I know some friends that will upgrade to a xaos-21 instead of a velocity , because I was someone that could give a good use to their product.and comunicate with people. I am a good swooper for my country level , and we are wining the first frefly national championships. also we will jump with three tv channels and will appear on some magazines next week , all sponsored by red bull. I think this maybe would get you some kind of gear sponsors. Thanks Eric for helping me with my doubts
